  • Is this the greatest time to be a Heavyweight boxing fan?

So many people are complaining about a lack of talent in the hw division and that there is no true champion. IMO - I couldn't be more exited about the division.

It's a rare thing to have the division so open? When I think back, it was Lewis, Holyfield, Tyson, Holmes and so on. We've been able to point the finger at one true champion for a long long time.

Despite all our different opinions of who is the best HW out there, it should be fun to see these guys duke it out for the top spot, or watch a new champion develope.

So I say to you, sit back, let things unfold, and enjoy it. It doesn't happen that often.

End Of The Day, It Might Be Good Not Knowing Who Is Going To Win Fights Etc Etc Etc, However If The Boxers Were Of An Historic Level, Like Holyfield, Lewis And Tyson Were, Then The Closeness Is More Interesting Than The Fact They Are All ****

Lol, The Heavyweight Division Is A Bag Of Wank

Danny Williams Getting A Shot Prooves That

Don King Needs To Let His Fighters Unify The Titles

With Their Being 4 Champs, One Ruiz Lol, It Makes The Belts Pointless

Are you being sarcastic? The Heavyweight division is worse than it has ever been. There is almost no talent.....at all. Why do you think a medium skilled robotic giant is the current champ? Why do you think former Middleweights can be considered top ten Heavies?.....no talent.

Noone will be recognized for a long time until one of kings fighters fight a NON king fighter and gets the belt.....

Vitali is the champ that isnt in the Don King stable and if a fighter fights one of kings fighters who isnt in that stable and then takes a stab at vitali then they would be my recognized champ.....Then and only then will we have a true champion...Vitali holding one belt of 5 is no different then any others.....

If a fighter gets a chance with a king fighter and demolishes them then their is a chance but that is even gloomy due to the fact everytime someone fights a king fighter and presumably wins they are now "all king".....The Heavyweight division is definatly ****ed in the ass until Don gets ****ed or dies...Whichever comes first.

Your right about Don King, he is holding things up and will most likely never allow his fighters in with the Robot. With that said, I actually do consider Klit to be the best Heavyweight right now simply because I can't see any of the top ten with any advantages in a fight with him. Not to say Klit is better (skillwise), just has advantages in power and size. The division is dead any way you look at it.

Vitali's best asset is his size, especially since majority of the other fighters are shorter and weigh a considerable amount less...However his backing up w/ his hands down is going to get to him...But I do believe he has a pretty good chin.....

Skillwise my vote goes to byrd, I realize a lot of other people dislike byrd but he is a pretty good champ and as a boxer byrd is complete, however I feel if he was w/ another promotion company he would shine a lot better.....Byrd has the balls the size of klitschko byrd has never ducked anyone and wants to fight everyone.....Chris and Vitali are the 2 top heavyweights right and need to finish their business....

Byrd will school McCline especially since he stated he doesnt want to brawl anymore and that was just a test and to show the public he can stand on a dime and trade w/ no trouble.....Since he is going to traditional byrd I see noone stopping him for a while....Unless he meets someone w/ tremendous power although noone in the division possesses this except vitali (maybe) and I think Jirov would be a threat to byrd but other than that unless Ike gets out of prison Byrd will be on top for a while next to Vitali.

I have to say, its the worst time I can remember because there ids not one fighter at the moment that inspires or interests me, I could not give a damn who's champion - the division is just full of bums, I mean for god sake:

Byrd, Ruiz, Wlad, Vitali, Williams, Sanders, Tua, Brewster god the list goes on - what a load of drival.

Just one decent fighter would be a start.

Compared to the talent and entertainment and antisipation of Featherweight, Junior Welterwight, Weltereight, Middleweight etc. As a youngster I thought boxing was all about the heavies - how naive I was
