Byrd, Ruiz, Wlad, Vitali, Williams, Sanders, Tua, Brewster god the list goes on - what a load of drival.

Just one decent fighter would be a start.

Compared to the talent and entertainment and antisipation of Featherweight, Junior Welterwight, Weltereight, Middleweight etc. As a youngster I thought boxing was all about the heavies - how naive I was

If someone could lure wayne brathwaite into the heavyweight division we might have another holyfield like fighter on our hands.

i agree with pinkpanther. this is the WORST time to b a heavyweight fan. there seriously is not one good & exciting fighter in the division. on the other hand, it is the BEST time to b a fan of the middleweight division. Taylor, Hopkins, ODLH, Vargas, Quartey, Eastman, the list goes on.

The heavyweight divisioned revamped over night....It actually brings it back to the 70-80's

        Duran
        Hagler
        Hearns
        Leonard

        we got

        Hopkins
        Taylor
        Sturm
        Trinidad

Im not listing the other guys because dlh looked mediocre and only draws off his name in the middleweight division and I have yet to see quartey/vargas in that division either.

However I do write Vargas off, I think he is finished.

I love your in love with Vitali and all but come on now. The division is as bad as its ever been.
I was trying to look at the division in a positive light. IMO - it would be fun to watch another Mike Tyson develope and dominate the division.

If you slow down your Hate and have one intelligent minute, read my post again. I never mentioned my preference of who I would like to come out on top.

Oh, I hear Paxil is good for your condition.

It might be more interesting if all the "belt" fought each other and unified the championship. Even though I am not impressed with any of them that at least would grab my attention. But since that isn't likely to happen I have to ageree that the division is as bad as I have seen it in 30 years of following boxing.

If you looked at things in an intelligent manner then you wouldn't ask dumbass questions like "Is this the greatest time to be a Heavyweight boxing fan?".

If Golota actualy has his **** together this time, as it appeared he did against Byrd, he could add some much needed excitement to the division.

It is sad, though, that the most exciting prospects in the heavyweight division are a tempremental (emphasis on the "mental") over the hill Pole and a beefed up, big-mouthed middleweight.

Jirov could add some excitement, too, though I don't know if he could stand in amongst the really huge guys. It would be nice if he could.

I agree. Golota's nefarious tactics are the highlight of the division now.
