I think this gotta be like one of worst era in the heavyweight division if not the worst. I mean look at the so called champions, none of them possess greatness and potential to be among the best.

Is this the greatest time to be a Heavyweight boxing fan?

The last time it was great to be a heavyweight boxing fan was when Mike Tyson was in his prime. It was also a great time to be a boxing fan during the primes of Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali and Larry Holmes.
Any more questions?

The heavyweight division is the best it's ever been in my lifetime...there are more top boxers than ever before! It wasn't so great in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's - in fact by the early 90's it was so boring I stopped watching it completely. The fighters today are better than ever before, it's become much more competitive!
Because right now the four titleholders and top 5 ranked by boxrec and Ring Magazine are not from the US, I'm going to have to put up with all the whining about how bad the division is until there's another American champ. But that may not be for a long time...

The HW division right now sucks. Its so boring to watch with a very low talent pool. Yes its an open division like the post starter stated but its open due to lack of talent its not like the WW division which is open but loaded with talent.

there where loads of good heavyweight fights in the 90's and lots of big names tyson holyfield bowe lewis foreman moorer ect, 00's have been **** no big names and only a few good fights, plus a lot the prospects that people thought where going to be good turned out to be average at best, ike ibeabuchi who could still have been exciting us today got his ass locked up in prison, sam peter has limited skill set, wlad has a fairly weak chin and possible stamina problems vitali got injured before he had the chance to prove him self against the rest of the division, i could go on.
