he didn't look too gassed out to me either, because he did continue to flurry pucnhes at floyd even though they didn't land much. he stopped throwing his jab a lot in the later rounds but he really didn't throw them a lot during the whole fight. he, imo, lost faith in his jab, because he felt that eventually floyd would begin to counter over them with nice right straights because of the way floyd started moving his head and floyd put his guard down implying that he was waiting for oscar to throw the jab and the hook so he can counter them, which he would have i'm sure, and oscar didn't want to take that risk, so he threw them sparringly trying to throw floyd off, and when he threw them many of them landed nicely also, and when he threw them at floyd's left arm, that was smart also, even though it really didn't affect floyd.

the guy stopped throwing period and spread his hands which allowed floyd to dominate a few of the latter rounds. He got back second wind later though.

i don think so.. floyd couldnt counter over a jab his right isnt strong enough and its more like a right hook now ... roach worked on the right hand the whole time and oscar wasnt ready to throw the jab all night.. i think if oscar had mayweather senior oscar would of won..

then if that was the case, and floyd's right hand wasn't strong enough(which looks pretty dumb to claim, seeing how countering involves speed more than power to actually land it), then why did oscar stop throwing the jab? why do you think he stopped throwing it since you're the expert on heavy hands and power?

first of all, why was emanuel steward the only one pointing out how flawless oscar's defense was?

floyd couldnt land **** other than a "ssst" jab for just about the first 75%/85% of the fight. other than that he was in the fetus possition against the ropes or running backwards after throwing one punch at a time (wich for the most part all his punches just hit oscasr gloves.) emanuel steward saw that ****, i saw that ****.

if it wasnt for oscar, the crowd wouldnt have **** to cheer for, cause obviously floyd wasnt gonna do **** but get man hanled, than "smile," and run. kind of ironic since he brought out that chicken in the press conference. only one scared to exchange the WHOLE NIGHT was floyd.

and this guys the P4P? all time great?...lol giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit the **** outa here

            oscar completely manhandled the guy.

            alright back to blocked punches...

technically if you look at the punch stats, floyd shots that were hitting oscars gloves were counted as "points." now if thats the case, oscars flurrys should have been counted as well. (i mean, atleast oscars flurrys ended up with 1 to 2 shots landing.) floyd would throw and hit absolutley nothing but glove.

and no one even come in here and talk about max kellerman. lol that guy once stated that WU TANG was the best rap group ever, even though WU TANG very well might be. its a perfect example of Max Kellerman tries way to hard. that rat/weasel of a man, he musta had his eminem mp3's too loud in his ear to see what was goin on in that fight.

all in all, floyd ruined this fight....wouldnt exchange, there was no massacre, oscar was too much for him for a "massacre," and that single shot at a time/pitty pat scarey ass runnin backwards type of **** didnt even match, didnt even COME CLOSE to floyds hype.

            AFTER THE FIGHT-

only reason why this fight was accepted as a good fight by the public and boxing fans, was because of oscars willingness to exchange and to go after all of floyds pre-fight hype. if it wasnt for oscar, the fight would be just floyd going into the fetus possistion, and running backwards.

horrible outcome, especially for oscar. i feel for the guy, put on a performance like that against a guy that everyone thought was gonna "massacre him," only to come out and stay strong and fast against a human being that fights and runs just as fast as A REAL CHICKEN.....i mean has anyone ever tried to catch a chicken? lol that ****s probably hard as hell. i personally havent seen anyone run the entire fight, round 1 to round 12 since sweet pea.

            -a quick STFU-

before anyone says "well oscar ran from trinidad." HE RAN LATE. HE DIDNT RUN THE WHOLE NIGHT, and more importantly...when he wasnt running he was dominating. floyd maybe dominated 3 or 4 rounds, and thats being nice for how weak his shots were.
Flody could have won easly by out-boxing him and if you think that Oscar was pressing the action is because Floyd gave him the chance to and he couldnt do it.

He was testing Oscar flurries and Oscar could do a **** and If Oscar was ahead on point he would outbox Oscar very easily.

seen the fight i seen the Floyd dominated more than 8 round and maybe 10 but for the close round i give it a present for Oscar and he will still be losing.

Floyd shows people boxing is about wit and not streanght and he burned out oscar with a quater centruy old trick called 'dope rope' that Ali did to Forman he stunt Oscar twice in the fight he stood toe-to-toe so what esle he has if Floyd is stronger puncher Oscar could be in trouble

2 reasons why he stopped the jab:

#1 tired. He was coasting through 3 latter rounds. I know the jab is a simple punch but to keep his D up he needed to expend a lot more energy vs floyd than against an average fighter.

#2 Floyd put some fear in his heart the 6th-7th round when Oscar showed some sign of weakness.

Bingo, that's the reason Oscar stopped throwing the jab, you can always get hit with big shots when your jabbing.

same thing i seen Floyd started to duck his jab and coming forward and he did it more the once but didnt couter most of them but at the end started to couter as well as Oscar gettign tired will be painful for him to be coutered alot.

and yes when i say Oscar was stunt mostly due to his fatigue if you loss stamina you dont see punchs coming as well you dont have the energy to move well so it hurts much more and Floyd made Oscar loss alot of stamina.

people have benn saying the is Floyd sr trained Oscar the fight would be different but i dont think sr will do that because blood is thicker than water. Freddi Roach did his job well he lasted but for Oscar he didnt had there determination to win because boxing is not what in the ring but trainign and preparing for the fight is the most important part of it

First off pbftxrs316, if you are going to make statements such as this one:

                    Quote:

Then please supply everyone with any kind of source or link because without it, your words mean absolutely nothing. This goes for everyone on this board, on each side of the fight.
what? did you not read my post all the way through? did you see the examples i gave little one? what does a source or link have to do with an opinion of mine? go back and watch the fight again and listen carefully to the commentators to get your source or link. until you do that, then your response to one sentence out of a long post you didn't quote, means nothing. i not only gave more than one example, i put the man's words in my post to help with my argument. i may have exaggerated marchants's comments a bit, but i was making a valid point, that you obviously missed, seeing how you responded to just one sentence out of a long post. maybe you skipped over the following points after you read that sentence, or you did read them, realized i was right, and decided to focus on that on sentence to begin your post which was a little pushy seeing how you aren't a rulemaker on this forum, so you shouldn't tell anyone how to post. add to that, you made no real valid points yourself, so how are we supposed to take what you comment to heart and mind young scrapper? answer that one for me.

-It would be better if PBF fans could realize that, Floyd isn't so "uber". He is a great fighter but remember he only got a controversial win over someone he was expected to win against, and not only that, he never at one point dominated...anything (much like every fan swore he would). Also, how can he be considered the greatest, or an alltime great compared to: Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Dempsey, Joe Louis, SRL, SRR? A boxer can only be considered great when he has proven to fight all of the good opposition in his time. And trust me, there are plenty more fighters for Floyd to fight...it's not like ODH was the end of the road.

I just want all these posters to consider some of this stuff..

                      My 2cents

                      Iwagh
the only controversial thing about his win is that he should have won by unanimous decision. and talk about sources and links, where is your source when it comes to his legacy in boxing. how can you make claims about his ranking or nonranking amongst the all time greats without any source or link to prove your points. your post looks like a bunch of contradicting garbage. you basically tried to inform to oscar and floyd fans how they should view and judge the fight. who the hell are you to make these claims? you're nothing more than another poster on this forum with an opinion just like me and everybody else on here, don't tell us how we should view anything, and then give your two cents about someone's place amongst the all time greats.
