I think Oscar must get really tense in his big fights, otherwise I don't understand why he seems to bottom out early. Oscar is a tough guy to rate all-time. He has losses, but one of the best resumes of his generation, and even when he loses, it's a close fight. He's an exciting fan favourite. I mean, is he a top 10 ATG, definitely not. But if you were doing a top 50 like ESPN is doing, he probably has a place in there.

This fight scoring debate is getting a little tiresome. I think Floyd winning should be acceptable to anyone that has watched a few fights. If someone wants to make a case for a draw, I don't agree, but I can accept that a little more easily. As for the people saying Floyd won easily, I think they're very wrong. He said he won easily, but I think he was embarrassed that he didn't blow Oscar out, not that he should be embarrassed. Every great fighter struggles with an opponent at some point, so I'm not sure why that would be any reason to try to bring Floyd down.

Anyone who can give round 12 to Oscar is delusional and deserves to have their viewing privledges revoked! Floyd controlled it for 2 1/2 minutes landing some great shots in fact it was one of his better rounds, then Oscar has one little flurry without really landing jack yet many ****s have given him it!

This fight reminded me a lot of the Hagler-Leonard fight as very close fight that i had 115-114 for Sugar. Many people argued that Hagler deserved to win as he was the aggressor coming forward quite like De La Hoya on Saturday. True but Hagler actually LANDED some effective shots during those middle rounds and looked to have Ray in trouble. It also reminded me of the fight as Ray was in a prime round stealing mode that night landing some late flurrys and combos that put his opponents work in the shade quite like De La Hoya last night, although on review not so. Leonard ****ing LANDED with those combos!

Mayweather did have many shots picked off by Oscar but still did the most effective work and landed the most and the better punches and controlled the fight more than Oscar.
Completely agree about round 12. Floyd landed some great punches and controlled the round for all but the 30 seconds that DLH was swinging wildly. Oscar did land a couple good punches, but not even close to enough to get him that round.

All the DLH fans that were at the fight party with me were handing their money over before the decision was announced. It was pretty obvious to most people.

Shut it n00b anyone who had Oscar winning this fight or having it a draw was doing some good crack.

well I just saw the fight again on youtube, without hbo in the voiceover

                1.Mayweather
                2.De la Hoya
                3.De la Hoya
                4.De la Hoya
                5.Mayweather
                6.Toss Up
                7.De la Hoya
                8.De la Hoya
                9.Toss up
                10.Mayweather
                11.Mayweather
                12.De la Hoya

Even scoring the round 6 & 9 as a toss up, if you give them to PBF, I have a draw, if you give Oscar any of those, then he wins

I agree, Oscar like Mayweather blocked a lot of shots

The key is clean effective punching. Throughout the fight Floyd landed the cleaner punches, De La Hoya landed the more effective punches.
