honestly and as the final scorecards were being read i was hoping for dlh to get the win. And that was only because PBF fought like a *****. I was hugely disappointed in this fight regardless of the winner. because like i said the fans ultimately lost in this fight. i dont know how some of you can say this fight was exciting....well some people find watching flowers pollunating on the discovery channel is exciting.

i gaurantee you 95% of the ppl watching esp. the casual fans were thorughly bored watching this fight. PBF ran and ran and would have been happy not engaging or going toe to toe.
I never expected a gatti-ward type fight but like i said if these were some no name fighters fighting on espn's friday night fights like this all of you would have changed the channel because the fight was boring.

the damn fans who where in the action-packed exciting arena BOOED several times during the fight.
i answered your question now answer mines what does the fans boing throughout the fight tell you?

What the hell were you guys expecting.....Castillo/Corrales at 154?!?!?!?

Seriously, regardless of any hype you had to know what to expect going in.

I thought it was a good fight. Both guys fought well and showed us some high skill boxing. Normally Floyd toys with his opponents, but I think this was his most difficult fight, besides his first one with Castillo. His first fight with Castillo was more the way he chose to fight, rather than how he could have fought and won easily. With Oscar, he really did have rounds where he struggled and lost. That is probably the best challenge you'll ever see Floyd face, unless he moves up to an even bigger weight class or fights to a point where his reflexes start to diminish.

The problem is, this is not the super fight to appeal to casual viewers. The type of fight you need to sell the sport to new people is a fast-paced action fight. So anyone that thought this fight was going to save boxing was probably dead wrong.

i will go as far as saying i think this fight HURT boxing more than it HELPED!

Like I said I had a nice trip to memphis (for the miranda-pavlik jermaine taylor card) planned. and i am so disinterested in boxing right now that i am no where near as exciting as i was for upcoming fights. and i am hardcore boxing fan.
so do you think this fight will cause casual fans to tune in to boxing after seeing this garbage

I am eating crow right now for those guys who said they would not order because it would be a snorefest. I honestly could have went without watching it and wouldnt have missed anything.
PBF did not want to engage. Like he said he would. but he ran more than an olympic sprinter.
Oscar made this fight. HE wanted Pretty Boy Fast runner to fight. This fight is a huge letdown!
The guys who were saying this was an exciting fight are lying to themselves.
It was so disappointing that i am a hardcore boxing fan and it has lessen my desire to follow boxing seriously. Just think what it did to the casual fans who tuned in.
Miranda vs pavlik (which I have tickets to attend) cotto vs judah, hopkins vs wright
none of them seem appealing to me anymore. this fight was that disappointing
yes i understand about the fans losing the fight,it was a boxed fight,it may be boring. He did not run,its called stick and move, strategy, would u stand in front of a fighter with DLH's power?
c'mon now bro think if he would have ran he would not have won the fight

would you want to watch a world series where managers didnt put their top pitchers in or the batters didnt want to go for a homerun or didnt swing as hard. would you watch a nba playoff game where the coaches dont put their best players or the players didnt want to play hard because they are scared?

would you want to watch the daytona 500 if the racers drove slow because it may be dangerous? would you watch the super bowl if the players said they would not try and score?

so why do you expect fans to want to watch boxing if the fighter doesn't want to engage and actually fight?

this was the super bowl of boxing one of the biggest fights in the last 10 yrs. and only one fighter wanted to fight and that was oscar de la hoya.

              this fight ultimely HURT boxing!

I would never pay to see another maywether fight. I appreciate the sweet science but you have to the draw the line somewhere. The guy simply doesn't like to fight. I'm just glad that the most I paid for this was $7...lol

I wasn't expecting a slugfest or anything close to it but I atleast wanted to see these guys square up and thrown down for atleast 2 or 3 rounds to prove a point. The 24/7 series was better than this fight if you can call it one.

What a waste of a Saturday night.
