Oh its a good thread, and it has little to do with Mayweather, but the title might lead some to believe that it is about Mayweather and therefore not even open it

Michael Schumacher's engine blowing up last year in suzuka, costing him his 8th world title, was sickening to have to watch that live.

Still, what you take you must put back, schumi got lucky when he won his 1st title in 1994, and it came back around on him at the end last year.

He could have had 9 titles if he had enough luck.

But there is nothing better then seeing alonso get beat by a rookie.

BTW havent seen a Senna avatar in a long time, better than that goofie one you had of Schumi in those cheezy glasses :P

Lmao, Danny stash gave me good k and said he hated that pic in my comments.

I just missed Senna's time, (im 22 next week) but ive gone back and watched bits on him on you tube, no question about it, schumacher is my all time fav, but Senna is the best i have ever seen, especially over a single lap, he genuinely lived to be the fastest.

I love Senna for his character and charisma, but Schumi is a computer and I think its amazing. The man is the most professional athelete the sport has seen. He knows the car in and out, he drives flawlesly, and sometimes shows mad agresion.

But even though motorsports are my first love I just cant get excited about this season.......****ing Kimi is the biggest let down.....I expected so much more from scuderia this season is just borring.

The only exciting thing is Hamilton woooopin the spanish fools ass.

However floyd came into that fight as a welterweight anyway and he has filled out that 147 pound body so I think he will show one hell of a punch in his next fight, we just have to wait and see. However people like shane mosley gained weight by working out, thus making them slower which didn't really help their power. It's like a double edged sword.
Can you really say that Mayweather is a "welterweight" when all the other "welterweights" are middleweights?

Margarito had fights at 154 several years ago. And has WEIGHED IN near 160. He is undoubtedly 160+ on fight night. Cotto was weighing in the high 150s for his JWW fights. Clottey is close to 170 (!!) on fight night. As is Baldomir. I don't know what Cintron weighs, but he looks huge. Let's face it: Paul Williams is a middleweight. And has had many fights at such.

I don't think PBF can make lightweight anymore (although the bigger Castillo and Corrales did). But Floyd can easily make 140. In fact, he is still smaller than many of the guys who refuse to leave 140.

At 130/135/140, Floyd is a STIFF puncher. 135/140 is where he SHOULD be now. But against these middleweights, he will have to earn a bit of respect with some pop (which he does), move his feet, and take the decisions.

I used to hate schumacher as a kid, now things are different, but for me Senna is on another level, simply because he takes the car to a limit no one else can, and he did it without things like traction control and other aids for most of his career, he also raced in a golden era with Prost, Mansell, and towards the end, schumacher.

What makes Michael so good, perhaps even better than Senna in this category, is that he can drive on the limit for a whole race and finish it, thats extemeley, hard, senna was the best at it over one lap, over a race, maybe you could make a case for schumi, but then senna did some sickening things, like when he won the Brazilian gp stuck in 6th gear for the last 6/7 laps, that incredible.

I play F1 on ps2, and can go on the limit for a half a lap before making a mistake, these guys can do it for hours lol.

I Love Ferrari, and obviously Kimi is hightly overrated, he is very quick, but not consistent, not a team player like Michael, not as disciplined as michael definately the wrong choice to replace schumi.

Floyd's style allows him to move up in weight though. It doesn't matter how big a puncher you are if you won't get hit. If Cory spinks had beaten Jermain Taylor I can almost guarantee floyd would have faced him for the middleweight championship of the world, he can move up because, well, he's a boxer, who is as slick as they come.
