I don't think there are 80,000 people in Britain who know who Hatton and De La Hoya are

I think it could potentially do 30,000 at the City of Manchester Stadium, but I know Hatton's Manchester faithful would jump on the coaches to the new Wembley if it got put on there.

To do 50,000 in Britain these days you'd need a 50-fight undercard. That huge Millenium Stadium bill only did 35,000, 15,000+ Amir Khan fans, 5,000+ Calzaghe fans, a 15-fight undercard and plenty of neutrals and casual fans (regular Welshmen and viewers of The Contender).

Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank would have filled Wembley in a third fight, but no others boxers could.

De La Hoya is the biggest name in boxing and Ricky Hatton is the biggest name in British boxing. I reckon Rick could fill the COM against Witter. Against De La Hoya there would be no problem filling Wembley.

Where in the US could you get an 80,000 spectator gate for a boxing match? The States may be the mecca of boxing but you have a hard time filling your arenas. I mean Floyd vs Oscar filled the MGM grand which holds 17,000, Hatton was pulling in 22,000 per show in the MEN fighting the likes of Vince Phillips, Michael Stewart, Carlos Vilches etc for the WBU trinket. What do you think he could pull in a marquis event against the biggest name in boxing?

i must av seen u on der im at da camp
No I'm not at his training camp, I meant on the Ricky Hatton website forums.

You really have to get out of this boxing world.

Nobody has heard of De La Hoya in the UK. Hatton would sell more tickets against Witter, because his Manchester faithful know Witter as his bitter rival over the years.

                    Sorry but your in dreamland.

Carlos Vilches is as big a name to most of Hatton's Man City fans as De La Hoya is.

Not outside of Manchester and outside of die-hard boxing fans.

How do they know him?? His last five fights have had four-figure viewers, and before that he never got 200,000 viewers.
