i don't know whether the fight will be boring but

i do know Floyd said he'd go toe-to-toe with oscar, during his press tour.

now, i know FOR SURE that he ain't going no toe-to-toe with oscar.

if he does and keeps doing it throughout the fight, i'll be lil Floyd fanboy for as long as he boxes.

and if he does, like u said, he'll get knocked out cold.

but i really do hope he goes toe-to-toe at some point of the fight.

1- I always hear is that Floyd is an unknown. No one outside of hard core fans know him and he cant sell that big. Ive been reading alot of things about how big Oscar is to Floyd or how Sugar Ray was way more famous. That is so unfair. Boxing is far more dead now then it was in the 80's. Floyd may not be a household name everywhere but how many boxers really are? PPV has killed it and the media never covers it. Its not like Floyd is the only one. Then when it comes to selling "huge" numbers, how many fighters do that? No one sells big anymore and e****ally no Americans. People brag on these other fighters but there not even American. You have a much better chance of selling if your Mexican or PR. Still with that, Floyd's numbers compare heavily to even Mexican stars who are fighting eachother so they should be blowing Floyd out the water. There are alot of great fighters that no one knows but they never get ripped. No one knows Winky, X, Clottey, Casamayor, Chico, and whoever. Only a few guys under HW has been recognized since the 80's and there in or about to go in retirment. Stop ripping Floyd for that **** when its a total boxing thing.

2- Floyd vs All Time Greats. It makes me sick how now alot of the media rip him by saying how he would do against All Time Greats. What makes me mad is that most of the time they say guys like Hearns, Leonard, & Robinson would kill him. It is so unfair because Floyd has only had 3 fights at 147 and anyone with eyes could see that he wasnt a full fledge WW, yet these other guys ended up fighting at 160, 168, and 175. Its so ******. Ofcourse there going to look like they can beat him when 147 was there prime weight, the weight they fought a ton of fights at, and the weight they were young & fit in. Floyd clearly hasnt looked like a real WW and I dont even think he's weighed 150 in the ring yet when those guys put on a ton of weight. Its not a coincedence how eyeryone use to say that he would do very well against all those past 130-140 guys but now they say those other guys would kill him. Be fair about it. Atleast give Floyd like 3 more fights to grow into the weight and then we can judge him.

3- Floyd's Resume. 1st everyone use to sweat it but now because they hate him so much they say he doesnt fight anyone. They always bring up Margarito which is a joke at best but lets go past that for a second. What really makes me made is when they say things like Floyd keeps moving up without fighting the top guys like Hatton, Cotto, Mosley, and so on. It makes no sense to me how the media can say that and keep getting away with it when its so untrue. He's tried to fight Hatton so many times and Arum wouldnt let Cotto near him. He tried to get the Mosley fight instead of Baldy but Shane wouldnt take it. He never gets credit for that kind of stuff. He's tried to get fights with a prime Naz, Freitas, and prime Lazcano, and so on but no one cares. If that was anyone else they would call him the most feared man in boxing. Ive also always said that he never gets the credit he deserves for moving up and fighting these huge guys. I still say that he's the smallest man in boxing yet moves up so quick. There is no other fighter who is consistently going into the ring at the weight limit or just a few pounds over. Floyd was just at 140 a couple of fights ago weighing only 145 in the ring while Oscar will come into the ring around 170 pounds in this fight. People praise guys like X, Tszyu, & Calzaghe for staying in 1 weight class. What if Floyd wouldve done that? He couldve in the last few years dominated legends like MAB, Pac, JMM, EM, Diaz, and so on. He would then have the best resume in history but that wouldve been the easy route.

I like him and think he is going to beat DLH, but I feel he gets treated like he probably should. He does stuff and acts a certain that many people don't like. Personally I don't like all the money flashing he does, but the other stuff doesn't bother me. Not everybody can be as professional as DLH, and I don't mind a guy who acts out of the norm or doesn't act they way people feel he needs to.

dlt, that was one of the greatest posts i've ever read. a lot people may disagree and claim floyd brought the hate on himself. well, to them, i say shame on them for senseless bull****. nobody brings hate on themselves because they cannot make people like them or hate them. people will either like someone or hate them on their own regard. many people on this forum and in the media decided to hate floyd a long time ago before he became big. now, he's not afraid to stay true to himself, and sense many people on here and in the media cannot relate to to him, they choose instead to hate him for it. to me, that's because of their insecurities and naive selves. they are afraid to be themselves, and they rather portray this false image and cheer for guys with false images, and floyd can only be floyd. who wants to see and respect that? that's how these people seem to think. they disregard his accomplishments and legacy in boxing mainly because of his attitude and their envy towards his personality.

DLT, read this carefully brother, do you notice how many posters on here make threads about how leonard, hearns, roy jones, hagler, duran, robinson, whitaker, and more would have killed floyd mayweather? i know you probably have seen these. people make posts about who can kill mayweather in the ring. he'll knock floyd out this, he'll knock out floyd that, and so on and so on. it's childish and pointless. it's just their way of coping with their envy towards him. floyd talks trash and that's fine, because he always backs it up. but many people don't like that, and find it disrespectful. floyd talks bad about srl and srr and claims he would beat them. that bold staement shows me that floyd never lacks confidence in himself and that's great imo. floyd claims he will be the best fighter ever. so what? every great fighter should say this. you're only on this world once, and you're in a competitive sport, and confidence is crucial to have, and floyd believes in himself tremendously, and that's nothing less than amazing. the man knows he is a unique talent, and he sells himself and his fights how a true champion should. i'm sure many people would make threads about who can beat mayweather and who would beat him. hell, with the amount of hate floyd gets on this thread, i wouldn't be surprised if somebody on here made one about don king beating floyd, or bob arum beating floyd, or bb king beating floyd. it's nonsense from many of you people.

people talk about floyd's resume and how it's not a great one, yet, he is considered the p4p champion of professional boxing, and is regarded as the best fighter in the sport. you think he would have gotten this way from fighting bums. yet, many of you people contradict youyrselves a lot by claiming floyd is the best fighter in boxing, and then claiming he never fought anybody. that looks sill on you guys's part.

many people claim that floyd fights scared and runs all the time. many of you people don't have floyd's career sets like i do. which means i have all of his fights in full. he has not always been too defensive in his fights. he fights very smart, and find a way to beat you, and a "boring" win is always better than a cool lost. this is why he is still undefeated and will continue to be after may 5th.

a lot of you on here comment on his duclking of fighters like margarito and hatton and guys like lazcano and kosta tzyu. thi sis bull****, he has called out all of these guys before and he's been calling out oscra for years, and oscar just like the rest, opted not to take the fight with him until recently. and oscra put a lot of stipulations on the fight, yet, he's a hero to many of you people.

bottom line, the treatment floyd gets is unfair, because he has done so much for boxing, and he has been dedicated to his sport for so long, and has worked his ass off to get where he is now. he is a brilliant fighter and a crftsman in the ring, where it truly counts.
