    Notes from the presser:

Casamayor jumped on stage and King shooed him off; the Diaz camp seemed most interested in a Barrera fight though they did not rule Joel out. Diaz did the traditional "whatever my managers want." King was ecstatic and said "they have to deal with me now." They would be HBO. Pretty uneventful post-fight but great fight and great atmosphere.

More in my column this week...

BUT P.S. I asked Don if he has promotional rights to Chagaev. He said he doesn't but he'll be working with Kohl in the immediate future "on finding the guy to beat Chagaev."

Casamayor, since his the Ring champ.

JD said he wants to fight Pac, i like to see this figh, but i don't see Pac fighting at 135 anytime this year.

How about Guzman or Valero? I read somewhere in other boxing sites that they plan to move up weight.

Diaz needs to man up and say he wants to fight Casa. I'll stop being a Diaz fan for sure if he wastes his time with the old man Barrera, who the **** wants to see that?

If I am Juan's promoter, I take a moderatly tough opponent on next, good enough to keep the momentum going, but not someone who'd be a pick'em fight. I think they should look at someone who would provide action like Jorge Barrios, Jose Armando Santa Cruz, or Kid Diamond. Then I would move on to take on Julio Diaz who has been calling Juan out for awhile now. Then I would pit him against the much easier David Diaz. Finally assuming he wins all this I would put him in with Casamayor, who would be ripe for the taking.

                Barrios, Santa Cruz, or Diamond
                Julio Diaz
                David Diaz
                Casamayor

Considering that Juan fights pretty often, it shouldnt be more than a year and a half for 4 fights.

Casa is getting old, Diaz should take him on next.

True he is getting old, and his whole style is based on reflexes, which is always the first thing to go, but I feel at this moment he still has a tad too much craft for Juan, perhaps I do have Casamayor alittle too far down the line, but I dont think the next fight is quite the right place. Juan needs to capitalize big time, with an action fight and resounding win.

Another idea I had was pit him against Bobby Pacquiao, so when he wins it will spark interest in a possible Manny Pacquiao bout.

Im a fool. I underestimated the Bulls, and really thought the Heat were taking it easy in the regular season.
