I think it speaks for itself that you have to defend him by saying his opponents don't "suck". You're right they don't suck, but they also have no business fighting for a belt either. The sad thing about the whole situation is that Calzaghe can actually beat some great fighters if he ever grows a pair.

Before the Jeff Lacy fight, all the Calzaghe haters were saying how great Jeff was and how he was going to destroy Joe.

People who refuse to accept how good the Pride of Wales really is, fool themselves into believing all his opponents were tomato cans. Joe Calzaghe is one of the most talented boxers I've ever seen, the way he handled Lacy was truly amazing.

Sorry buddy, but I do have opinions of other fighters that have nothing to do with Floyd Mayweather. sorry you felt the need to bring him up. And yes, I can criticize Calzaghe fighting a guy who couldn't even win a tv competition against a bunch of other nobodies. We may not agree about Floyd's level of competition, but nobody can deny that fact that they are/were champs at one time. Is Baldy a hall of famer? Hell no, but he was the champ. Manfredo has always been a scrub and will always be a scrub. Keep in mind, I actually respect the hell out of Joe C and think he's an incredible fighter, but he is fighting guys who don't deserve to be fighting for a title.

ThaHorseman runs in the same crowd as the people who hyped Jeff Lacy up to beat Joe Calzaghe, and he'll say no he wasn't now but I bet my life he did. And anyone who wants to fight calzaghe chickens out when they ask for ridiculous amounts of cash. These fighters aren't dumb, Calzaghe can nearly double most fighters workrate in the super-middleweight. Not many others can throw as constant as he can, that doesn't mean he's the fastest like mundine. But he sure throws more then any other super-middleweight. And he is fast still, some people under-estimate his speed aswell.
