dats is what i am getting at Duran is overrated and also because has so many fights but most were nobodies. The only great he defeated was srl because he riled up srl in the first fight and got him to brawl with him but when srl wisely outbox in the second fight and made him quit.

If Duran isnt an all-time great, then who the **** do you consider great? he beat a ****load of great fighters.

Only better Lightweights I can think of off the top of my head are possibly Whitaker and Ortiz.

Duran wasn't even that great, anyway. Regardless of who you compare him too. He was good ye, and tough too. But not great.

I dont think it was a fix.
If it was a fix i dont think Duran would have just quit in the middle of the round. He would have claimed he was injured and not come out for the next round.

Also, he was fighting pretty well up until the last couple of rounds when Leonard started to showboat and piss Duran off.


I think he found it insulting the way Leonard was treating him, plus he was very frustrated and possibly not in the best shape.
He quit because he didnt give a ****.

but ppl say u have to be the best by beating the best, some ppl even have him above srl that makes no sense.

you can be great by fighting the best regradless win or lose just as long as the loss was a bad decision or too close to call
