Calzaghes 35, and he's still a warrior with almost unlimited amount of stamina constantly throwing punches. And still doesn't get credit on his constant action in fights.

That is NOT entirely true...There are Lower weight examples as well.. But just The heavyweight list alone would take more time than I care to take...

      Jones doesn't have a chin...

My favorite RJJ quote says it all... After the 3rd Tarver fight.."I dont mind getting hit..Just dont hit me TOO hard"

Against Wharton, ofcourse, he didn't try to take him out, he boxed. And we all know about the Jiminez debacle.

If Benn could bring back the Destroyer, he'd have taken Jones out.
As I said, they went 12 not at his best. We have the same opinion here, but Jones would also come a few pounds above the limit at fightnight.
Benn threw crazy punches that could take everyone out, i think it depends on how much Jones punches make Benn respect him.

Jones is overrated. Sorry those who think he isn't, but he is in my opinion.
I believes hes a great fighter, but not as great as most people think.

The thing is, Benn could be on his way out himself and still take his opponents head off! He could be on his way down, and then swing a bomb from some outlandish angle.

He just had so much natural power, when he took out Sherry he wasn't even trying to knock him out!

Roy Jones Jr has a better resume than any fighter he 'ducked'.

so what did we see? that Jones without his reflexes could not compete anymore in a weight class where he was systematically the smaller man? boo-f...n'-hoo. I could have told you that.

where was sweet pea at 35? getting battered by tito after getting out of coke

where was sugar ray leonard at 35? retired after terry norris handed him his ass.

where is floyd mayweather going to be at 35? probably retired

where was sugar ray robinson at 35? he had 7 more title fights. the record for those fights? 3-4-0. not exactly prime robinson of say 1952..., isnt it?

bottom line, none of the above fighters was a shadow of his former self at 35. why would roy jones have been much different?
                  That's a good point.

this dimebar guy must be from the uk obviously thinking benn is the greatest fighter of all time. HES NOT! hes maybe third best all time behind calzaghe then sugar ray robinson. he was so ****ing good he could knock your ass out 5 mins after he was counted out in the locker room thats how good he was. So much power oh lord and the speed the blazing speed and dont forget movement he had it all im surprised he got knocked out 4 times with his chin of steele those 4 punches were the hardest punches ever recorded in world history if it wasnt for them he would be undefeated and still fighting and whooping great people like steve collins all day long. Its just so unlucky. I gotta give him props for coming to the US to face the dangerous always ducked Sanderline Williams with a mammoth 24-9 record. Benn managed to beat him via split decision on his own home turf i cant believe it no one talks about this great fight. Nigel Benn all time great(not just in the UK)
