i think its really unrealistic to talk taylor or hopkins, in my world they are out of the picture for both joe and mikkel.. neither joe or mikkel is needed there..

thats because i think, that this puts warren and joe in a corner, this shows that kessler is legit in his claim , that he wants the fight to happen, this offer is at least twice as big as the warren offer for mikkel to fight joe in wales.. i dont think warren wants the fight any other place than in britain, so this for me at least, is gonna put pressure on warren and joe..

if they are to negotiate venue, palle could easely say, we have offered 5 mill, if you want in your backyard, whats your offer.. this offer puts negoatins in another level money wise..

You are making the incorrect assumption that Calzaghe and Kessler a) have the same market value and b) should be paid the same.

Your first paragraph might be realistic for Kessler but it isn't for Calzaghe - at least one is in negotiations for a fight this year and both are mentioning him as a potential opponent.

Why can't Palle make an offer for a fight outside Danmark?

well i dont think so, after the bika fight and the manfredo joke, i cant se, that the claim youre making, about joe´s market value being that much bigger then kesslers.. didnt joe need manfredo to get known by the average boxing fan, and pump up his name in the us, if he is such abig name, he wouldnt need manfredo.. but ill give you this though regardin market value, joe 55-60 % kessler 40-45%

taylor said 10 mill, and couldnt care less about joe.. hopkins.. why would he..
joe is not even close to get those names, not by a longshot..

Well, that viewpoint certainly explains a lot of the rubbish written by our resident pastries.

If he has made such a decent offer for money, why didnt he just say "In the US" and get the fight made, instead of continue the negotiations?

Because Palle is a Danish manager. That means it is in his interest to get the big fights happening there. Just like Warren wants the fights he promotes in the UK.
Why do you never see Warren offer ANYBODY a fight in the US? It goes both ways.

Because Warren doesnt want the fight in the US, he wants it in the UK. In the UK Calzaghe sells out bigger venues, its a bigger boxing country, it has better television rights. Calzaghe is the bigger draw and his belt is the most important one in the division. He is the number 1 in the division.

On the other hand, Palle and Kessler have both said that they will fight Calzaghe anywere for any price. The money is a good amount of money, it'd be one of if not Calzaghe's absolute best pay-days once the TV and PPV sales come into it (providing thats an accurate offer that has been made). I'm sure that Warren and Calzaghe would've accepted the offer there and then if it was to be made for the US. Instead, there needs to be another stage of negotiations when it could just be made now.
