I just want Judah to perform his vintage chicken dance and then Ill be fine.
Would Margarito be a bigger challenge for Miguel Cotto?
Collapse

Enough about experience.
When you talk about Margarito you fail to realize how determined that slow flat footed guy without deffense is. He also has an iron chin and keeps coming at you no matter what you do to him, Clottey hit him with every thing he had and Margarito kept coming at him, this guy challenges you until the last bell of last round. Can we agree on that?
and you base that on what? a few wins against Clottey and Cintron? lmao.
If he got in the ring with a world class fighter, he would most likely get stopped.
Yes, I said ''I dont see how you can base your opinion on past opponents and resume.'' You fail to realize this is about styles and none of their last opponents matches Cotto's style of fighting, maybe Clottey during the first few rounds, but Zab hasn't fought anyone with Cotto's style. And as far as resume, well, are you skipping all of Zab's losses? He did beat a good boxer with a glass chin, that's about it. Margarito has lost, but definitely has put up better fights in those losses than Zab.
Who beat Zab Judah? : Carlos Baldomir, Floyd Mayweather, Cory Spinks, (who he stopped in the rematch) and Kosta Tzsyu
Who beat Margarito ? Rodney Jones and Daniel Santos, lol
So what are you talking about?
Zab's Losses came against World class fighters (apart from Baldomir) and 2 three of those fighters unified their divisions, at least two of them will be in the hall of fame.
Yet you wana compare Judah's resume to Margarito?
After you originally said you didn't see the point in comparing resumes.
Nope, you dont make sense.
One more time.
Who is more likely to beat cotto?
1) A slick southpaw, with KO Power, speed and a former undisputed champ,
or
2) A slow, flat footed, wide punching guy with no defense, who has never faced anyone anywhere near the caliber of cotto,
And a guy who lost to Daniel Santos and Rodney Jones.
Give it some thought ok.
lol.Last edited by Technical_Skill; 04-17-2007, 09:05 AM.Comment

Margarito is a greater threat. Zab has proven not to be able to compete at the elite level. I mean Kostya, Mayweather, and even Baldomir.......cmon now. You can make many excuses about Zab's performance but the truth is he cannot compete with the top fighters.Comment
-
Lmao, What so Margarito can compete with the top fighters?
His wins over Frankie Randall, Kermit Cintron and Josh Clottey (Controversial win) prove this do they?
There is no shame in losing to Tzysu, Spinks and PBF,
Rodney jones however.
lol.Comment

I see you forgot to mention Baldomir.................look outside the box my friend. I know you love Zab but the reality is he doesn't seem to be able to hold on to a championship belt before someone smacks him around and takes it. No shame to losing to Spinks and Baldomir now that's laughableComment
-
Agreed... No matter how blind fans slice it, it all goes back to the same, Zab breaks down in big fights and Margarito gives his all through out the fight, even if he loses, so he presents a bigger challenge.Comment
-
LOL, mate, most fighters break down when someone can match their skills and is more determined than them. so that proves nothing.
LMAO, he keeps coming at you no matter what you do him?,
and you base that on what? a few wins against Clottey and Cintron? lmao.
If he got in the ring with a world class fighter, he would most likely get stopped.
Zab has more chance of outlasting Cotto than Margarito lol, there is a difference between not being able to last against guys like PBF, Spinks and Baldomir and guys like Rodney Jones. Lol.
This bit was just hearsay and conjecture lol.

You didn't answer my question, do we agree opponents who can take Cotto's shots and keep pressing forward are the ones who trouble Cotto more? If so, tell me in what big fight you've seen Judah pressing forward against a come forward boxer/puncher who's style is similar to Cotto's and have done well? Enough said...
Margarito got beat by:
"Rodney Jones and Daniel Santos"
Its evident you never saw the Santos fight, at least the first one since Margarito never lost to him, it was stopped on a clash of heads in the first round. Margarito hasn't been able to fight well against boxers who continually move around, not Cotto's case. In his last 5 or 6 fights, Cotto hasn't showed much lateral movement or angles, he comes straight in and cuts the ring of looking to land those body shots. Against those type of fighters, Margarito has done very well.
It all goes back to the same reality which is, Zab's biggest fights have been against guys who don't fight at all like Cotto (except Zoo who KOd Zab early) and Margarito has been proven against guys who have a similar style to Cotto's.
Keep them coming and stay on topic...Comment

Losing to Spinks and Baldomir is more laughable then losing to rodney jones and Daniel Santos?
Please
lol.

I dont know how to explain this to you in any simpler terms but anyway here it goes.... You're losing sight of what's being discussed and trying to turn this into something that isnt'. Zab lost against:
"Who beat Zab Judah? : Carlos Baldomir, Floyd Mayweather, Cory Spinks, (who he stopped in the rematch) and Kosta Tzsyu"

Sigh.
1) You said ''I dont see the point in comparing resumes'' : But now you are comparing Judah and Margarito's resume, not for the first time you have contradicted yourself
do i have to repeat that again?
Just incase....
You said ''I dont see the point in comparing resumes'' : But now you are comparing Judah and Margarito resume, not for the first time you have contradicted yourself.
2) I have answered your question multiple times, No a come forward fighter with no skills, no footwork, wide punches, and a poor defense cannot beat Miguel Cotto
Comprende?
3) A come forward fighter with no skills, no footwork, wide punches, and a poor defense does not have more chance against Cotto than a slick, speedy, powerful southpaw who was the undisputed world welterweight champion.
4) How can you say Margarito can take cotto's shots, or even imply that, when Margarito aint been in with a guy in the class of Miguel Cotto? Or is Cintron and randall in Cotto's class?
5) Maragrito does well against fighters who cut off the ring like Cotto? lol.
Who?
****in Frankie Randall?
That Sebastian Lujan bum?
Clottey?
Or did he get smacked about until Clottey broke his hand?
lol
Hope this finally clarifies things for you.Last edited by Technical_Skill; 04-17-2007, 10:12 AM.Comment
