I think Briggs would have a pretty good chance against Thompson, as well as any other boxer with a pulse and a semi-decent speed.
thompson fought much better against guinn if you ever have the chance to see that fight...

im pretty sure he fought conservative like that cause he knew how bad timor was and he knew he could beat him with nothin but a jab.... thompson doesnt have big time power but he can really take an opponent out of his rhythmn with a pesky jab and very accurate combos

I'll have to watch the Guinn fight then but I didn't think he has that good of a jab. I don't know, he just doesn't impress me, he is sort of like Brock, a little bit in every department, except Brock is much better skill wise.

if you saw the timor fight and judge him on that id expect that to be your opinion..

but keep in mind he is 6'6 and a lefty.... audley-esque..lol

its always something that takes some adjustments for any heavy to get used to

              1. Wladimir Klitschko
              2. Vitali Klitschko
              3. Samuel Peter

              7. Oleg Maskaev
              8. Lamon Brewster
              9. Sultan Ibragimov
              10.Tony Thompson
I think Vitali should not be there as he has not fought for 2 years! And I would place Hasim Rahman also in top 10!

Well, atleast everyone's on the same page regarding Wladamir.

Agree with the people who are saying the Heavyweight division is getting pretty interesting these days.

We've got an acknowledged top guy in the division, who has got some stiff challenges coming up, & is actually likely to meet them, as well as a pretty strong array of contenders & some great prospects.
Hell, even Ruiz is coming to fight these days.

                My List:

                1. Wladamir Klitschko
                2. Nikolai Valuev
                3. Oleg Makaev
                4. Samuel Peter
                5. Ruslan Chagaev
                6. Shannon Briggs
                7. John Ruiz
                8. Sultan Ibragimov
                9. Sergei Lyakhovic
                10. Vladimir Vichis
