well it appears that warren is determined to have joe fight someone in july. i'm assuming there are reasons why this month is set in stone...the only hbo date available or is it just that he's already booked the former millenium dome venue?

if this date isn't set in stone then there shouldn't be any reason for warren to delay the event by two months and have joe fight kessler or taylor then.

i mean, this is the wbo we are talking about, not the ibf. its not like they are going to strip joe's title for not fighting inkin straight away. scott harrison had to get arrested several times and pull out of a title defence before the wbo stripped him.

Inkin is not a big name, but he is a very dangerous fighter. If Joe screws up, he could be counting stars in La-La Land.

But why should he fight another "dangerous fighter". Everyone wants to see Joe fight the best american fighters. He wants to, it seems Waaren wants him to and it also seems the fans wanna see it aswell.

My point was that we should not underestimate Inkin, like he is some bum. He is no Manfredo.

i haven't seen Inkin fight but i bet he is taylor made for calzaghe as in he doesn't have any footwork or head movement, comes plodding forward, and lacks defense, also has limited experience.

this opponent is being brought in so joe can get a record setting 21 defenses at 168. joe says he wants the big names this and that, bit him and his team are doing the exact opposite, that's cool, hey, you gotta feed the monkey, right?

this is all i have to say about joe, i like calzaghe, i think he's a good fighter and i like his fighting style, he's exciting. i'm not saying i want to see calzaghe lose, i don't care if he ever loses, i just want to see him fight quality opponents, name opponents, guys that are on his same level. if he beats them all that is great, if he loses that is great too because he is fighting the best there is at the time instead of saying that he wants to fight the best and then in turn fighting lesser opponents instead, that aint good creds.

as of right now all warren does is put calzaghe in against fighters that he is obviously going to beat, guys that have no chance at beating calzaghe unless they get lucky. they need to put him in against guys that are even and or actually have a honest chance at beating him, where he isnt the obvious favorite everytime.............that is all.........

He has superior footwork, 3rd Hardest Hitter in the division behind Froch and Lacy and is an excellent counter puncher. He’s beaten Veit, Sobot and Vasquez so he’s been in there with some good fighters.

If it’s this one in July then, Hopkins in January, great, I’d love that, it’s better he keep busy than wait around until something’s available.

Hes done a ***in **** load more than most of Calzaghes opponents. What the ****in hell has evans " Lightweight" ashira. Or Manfredo, bika and on and on. His is **** scared of Froch and EVERYONE KNOWS IT.
Would Joe fight Phil "the cat" Tufnell????
At least he won a reality show so must be considered more credible than Manfredo.
If he want to beat up **** small guys he should do it in the gym and not rip of the punters.

                    No offence.

Inkin is at least a credible challenger, certainly better than Manfredo or Librado Andrade. I think Inkin face off against Carl Froch to essentially decide the divisional number 3. I think Froch would **** out Inkin, but Inkin is very dangerous too.
