idk about you guys, but im seeing a lot more sold out crowds then im used to seeing...

Even ESPN fights are selling very large crowds of like 5,000. which is great considering the junk they air...

Mayweather is undoubtedly the variable here, that is making this, probably the biggest event ever.

Mayweather is the difference from Oscar selling 500K-900K PPV buys (on average), and this having a chance to do over 2,000,000 buys.

        We'll see.

the only reason that Mayweather isnt selling 500,000 plus, is because

a)He doesnt win excitingly. like he doesnt get KO's so people arent gonna pay to see him fight a guy he's definetly gonna beat.

b)He only fights guys that he will definetly beat so far. DLH his is first BIG name opponent that has a real chance at winning the fight.

People are obviously gonna want to see it.

I have some friends that i watched Entourage with last night, and right after the show they aired the DLH-MAYWEATHER fight and they ALL seem legitamately excited for this fight.

Which is good for boxing when a fight can catch the imagination of guys that dont really like boxing.

so your kinda excited I see,but jumping the gun and not giving boxers enough credit if your questioning if there will be ne thing bigger ever.

Yeah everyone says that now. But when the cards read 118-110, 119-109 and 119-109, everyone will say Oscar didn't have a chance to begin with.

                And he doesn't get KO's?

He has a 50% KO ratio in his last 4 fights, and was very, very close to stopping Judah, which would of made his ratio 75%

Say what you want, but having a 50% KO ratio at 4 divisions above from where you started is very impressive.

People have very very short memories, just because he didn't stop someone who has a brick wall for a chin (Baldomir), doesn't mean Floyd doesn't have enough snap on his punches to systematically break them down over the course of 12 rounds, and stop them.

                  Just to add:

Corrales was a big name opponent and who was also undefeated. Floyd was actually a slight underdog going into the fight.

Judah. Before the Baldomir fight, practically everyone was saying Judah was simply too big and too good for Floyd. Judah had a real chance to beat Floyd and he's a big name as well.

Why are you arguing with yourself? No one here is trying to convince you that Oscar isn't more popular.

                      Dear god, shut up.
