      Chico,

      Damn, man......you will be missed. You brought as much excitement to the sport as any fighter in history. You brought a warrior's heart & mindset, you wanted to not only take on the best, but FIGHT them to the absolute finish.
      I have been following the sport for over 25 yeras, & you were one of the best lighter-weight punchers I have been privileged to witness.
      You were a super-tall guy who stepped into shorter guys' wheelhouses & demanded they outfight you......Some thought you were a fool, I thought you were ****ing great.

      Your fight with Jose Luis Castillo brought new fans to this game, at a time when it seemed like everyone was quitting on it. Thank you for that, along with many other career highlights.

      You made this sport better. You defined it.
