September won't happen. It's no coincidence that a fight is being planned the same time as Hopkins-Winky. July is Kessler's only chance to fight the man he's supposedly been calling out.

lets start with andrade vs manfredo, who put up the better fight? who kept on fighting? who took huge shots and kept coming forward for twelve rounds? andrade, certainly not manfredo. who made his opponent work for his win, andrade. just because he was out gunned doesn't make him a slouch, plus he is a big puncher. so when you size up the competition andrade was a way tougher fight than manfredo, obviously.

and for saying that kessler isnt ready yet, kessler is far more ready to fight calzaghe than taylor. like i said and i'll say it yet again, taylor isnt ready and taylor is still hype. taylor doesn't have the experience to deal with calzaghe and doesn't have the ring generalship to deal with calzaghe's fight game. plain and simple.

kessler is ready and can make a good fight, maybe even beat calzaghe, hopkins is ready and can beat calzaghe. taylor would be exposed like lacy, and calzaghe knows that and that is why frank warren and calzaghe are trying to make the fight with taylor before fighting anyone else. taylor has been nothing but sub par. a lackluster draw against wright and a dominant performance against a smaller taylor made for his style fight with ouma, and he couldn't even come close to knocking him out. taylors wins over hopkins were gifts, basically it was HBO's money machine against an old pain in their ass, of course they're going to give to taylor.


look at taylors next opponent spinks, a smaller guy coming up from welterweight to middle who was knocked out by zab judah, although spinks is slick he can be KO'd by a guy that is smaller than him (judah), so it's obvious that they're trying to get taylor a KO before he fights anyone else, but if taylor was to fight calzaghe he is going to look like an inexperienced amatuer. taylor has limited footwork and hasn't seen anyone with the punch output and the hand speed of calzaghe and wouldn't know how to stop the flury.

kessler has good movement and know's how to tie up to control the pace of a fight and stop flurys, hopkins too knows how to stop flurys and has got impeccable timing, and everyone knows timing is the key to beating speed. not to mention kessler has fair timing too.

hopkins and kessler are far more ready for calzaghe than taylor and that is the main reason team calzaghe is trying to fight taylor instead of kessler and hopkins...................

I agree with you about Taylor, I would like to see Hopkin's fight Calzaghe. I dont think Hopkin's could deal with Joe's speed and punch output. Hopkin's would like Joe to come to America and fight him, I would to.Kessler, He did put on A good exhibition with Andrade. I like Kessler's style, But He connot beat Calzaghe right now. Maybe when Joe retires he can carry the torch. Andrade was sloppy and SLOW, Didnt you see him throw his overhand punch's. He was leading his punches out their to long, for easy counter's. Calzaghe would have Ko'd Andrade in 5-6 rounds easy. Also we all know the Ref ****ed the Manfredo fight for Joe and Peter and all of us fight fan's. BUT, Joe was going to destroy the undeserving Manfredo anyway's, So maybe Manfredo should be thanking the ref. Sooner or later preatty boy, ***** punchin Kessler will be exposed, Just like Edison Miranda will be to.

Calzaghe may want Taylor and Hopkins, but I am not sure they want him. You say Kessler need Calzaghe, but if he can’t get these fights, Calzaghe needs Kessler to! Unless he wants to rematch Manfredo…
Calzaghe isn't exactly a loved superstar outside his home country.

No wonder HBO want to pay for Calzaghe - Kessler. Calzaghe has a few fights left in him, Kessler could make money for them in the long run.

Hopkins - Calzaghe, The fight wound pay of, but not as much an investment in the future, since they are both close to retirement. Hopkins may have better options.

Hopkins - Taylor: Taylor could loose, not a wise investment, Taylor can make bigger fights, and continue for many years.

Kessler - Calzaghe: They wouldn't loose an established name if Kessler lost, and it would be a long desired proves of Calzaghes skills since Lacy. This would make Hopkins a bigger fight. On the other hand, if Kessler took out Calzaghe, and claimed his third belt, they could make many big fights with him in the future.

If Calzaghe is in such a hurry, why did he take so long preparations before Manfredo???
I would still bet all my point on Calzaghe not fighting anybody in July. This is just bull**** from Warren.
