That stoppage was to early and definitley was a hometown stoppage. Calzaghe would have kept beating the **** out of him, but Manfredo really wasn't given a chance. I admit he should have at least thrown a few punches to show he was ok.

Sugar Ray Leonard nailed it. He werent throwing **** back. Yeah it got stopped early but Manfredo is a nice guy I didnt wanna see him get hurt. Main thing is now Manfredo has faced this he can perhaps start to dominate easier opponents in his career.

If Peter was actually competitive in 2nd/3rd round, I would have been disappointed in the stoppage, but he was like an amputee not doing **** but getting hit. If the fighter doesn’t respond when under attack, the ref can easily pick that up as he’s seriously hurt.

            mmmmmm

lacy was a real opponent.......well he was at least untill he got schooled

and also why should Joe have to travel? he is the champ.....why should the American fighters have it thier way?
they should in reality be tripping over each other to get at Joe,but they know how good he his and just dont want to fight him unless its on thier terms.

Calzaghe looked good, but the stoppage happened way too early, Manfredo could've gotten out of there. However, I think Joe would've still won by stoppage but later in the fight, not this early.
