That's obviously not true...Wlad is the best heavyweight right now. There's a LOT of "tier 1" European boxers: Kessler, Mormeck, Hatton, and Povetkin for example. Did you see Mormeck's fight with Bell?
Best heavyweight: Wlad
Best cruiserweight: Mormeck
Best super-middleweight: Kessler
Best light welterweight: Hatton
Olympic gold medal winner (2004) and future heavyweight champion: Povetkin.Comment

I generally consider russians in a class by themselves and they would argue with being called europeans. They are slavic and are geographically in europe and asia. They're tough bastards and train hard.
I'll give you hatton. He gives a good show and fights wars. Kessler is interesting but he also has accomplished little of note.
Lewis was the last great euro fighter. I actually wish he'd come out of retirement.Comment

Of course Russians are Europeans!
Eastern Europeans are still Europeans. The Slavic, Germanic, Celtic, and Baltic languages are all related, they're all considered European languages.
Russia and the Ukraine are part of Europe. The Russian empire extended into much of Asia, but the Russians themselves are European.Comment
