Vargas had the legs to get up from the 1 round kd's
when Tito went down he was on wobblely legs I think if Tito doesnt throw the low blow Vargas would off have landed another left hook and maybe stopping him. Trinidad was a smart fighter is not the first time he uses the low blow to recover

People overexagerate what Vargas was doing. He had a couple of good rounds. He wasnt "taking over". Tito was not even hurt by the knockdown. Take the low blows away and I still think Tito wins the fight by eventual TKO. Vargas was and still is vulnerable to a left hook. It would have happend eventually.

I have'nt thought much about it over the years but If I recall Vargas was winning the fight to that point......I suppose it is reasonable to think he would have pulled it out.

I thought it was nothing more than a well placed shot. I never really thought Vargas had great power either. I also never thought he was in the DLH fight. I think his success in that fight is overblown too.

vargas was NOT going to stop tito in that fourth round - tito's the one w/ the X factor left-hook.

obviously i'm just speculating, but vargas never had true power to stop elite fighters, that's his track record.

lol,,,some of you guys crack me up. he was wobbled from shots to the head. it was obvious he couldnt handle tito's power. they could fight 30 times and vargas would be knocked out 30 times. varags chin is garbage and tito's power is big. he didnt need shots below the belt to knock vargas out

tito went down in many fights and went on to knockout his foe. wasnt going to be any different here
