No, vargas woulda still lost, everytime he put his hands on trinidad he hurt him, and anytime tito would put his hands on vagas hed hurt him. They both had it in their fists it was a fight of who was willing to get off first and tito just ended up willing to take the risk and unload on vargas before vargas did on him.

After the second knock down Vargas was the one getting of first, until about the third low blow.. When Vargas knocked Tito down Tito intentionally hit him in the nads so he could take a breath and regain his head. That moment right there could have been the determining factor in the fight.. Baya how can you say being hit low as many times he did will not effect someone in a fight?? at about :50 sec remaining of the 8th round Nady warned Vargas about a low blow which was actually a body shot close to the ribs, Truley Vargas only low blowed Tito once but it was unintentional. world class fighters don't lose a fight of that calibre because of low blows, mediocre fighters use this as an excuse. vargas had time to re-coup from the blows, but declined to do so because of bad decision making, a variable in winning fights.

don't make excuses for the guy, after the fight vargas in front of any camera would hoot and holler about the low blows but then after all that passed and he was going up against DLH - you heard all the "tito hits like a monster" "i was immature back then" mumbo jumbo that he'd spew, as fans of vargas we'd like to believe this, but in all honesty it just wasn't possible.
