Na I'm pretty often right in boxing, I just hate these old fighters. There is no excitement when two corpses who fought a half century ago fight in black n white.

Dempsey knocked out 180lbs guys with small gloves, for example thats why his power is overated.
I don't like his "defense" and with the old cameras you can't say how fast he was.
His style is also strange but soon will somebody come and say that its more effective to evade every 4th punch than to block 3 of them.<--exaggerating

Edit2: Jess Willard is smaller than Valuev, probably 80pounds lighter,absolutely no defense and has even worse technique and footwork than Valuev, he also had lesser pro experience. Valuev also has the better chin.
Its a big difference between an opponent who is 6 inches taller than an opponent who is 12 inches taller.

Go to the heavybag and hit it 12 inches above you with every punch, Valuev seems to take bodypunches well.

I personaly dont agree i think dempsey would simply out class valuve. Make him look like a complete amature.

Almost this whole thing is wrong. He had defense , had better technique and footword than Valuev; if Valuev had better he would be knocking out his opponents who are 100 pounds lighter. Willard had less pro experience, but fought better opposition and with his experience I would still bet on him against Valuev. I also don't see how Valuev has the better chin. Valuev can take some punches, but not in the regard that Willard can.

how on earth can you say valuev has better technique..footwork and chin than willard. his footwork and technique is worst and his chin is still untested. what puncher has valuev faced yet? "0" nada. dont you think there's a reason why valuev hasnt faced anyone with power in over 40 fights? I do and we'll probably find out soon enough

It's an unfortunate bias. You can learn a lot from these fights.

Jess Willard is about 5" shorter than Valuev and 50lbs lighter. He was also faster, with better technique and footwork. Dempsey made short work of him by brutalising him from the opening bell. The same would happen to Valuev.

You can mention it all you want but it doesn't make it true. Dempsey had a far better defense and was a sharper P4P much faster puncher than Mayorga. That is an absurd comparison you've made out of bitter hatred for the old guys.

Also Valuev has a better chin than Willard? He never took a punch from anyone nearly as hard hitting as Dempsey. Don't make me laugh man, you are too fixated on size. Go in the ring with a 100 lb flyweight who can punch and you'll soon realize that even a hundred or more pounds of mass won't help you against someone who knows how to punch with their bodyweight.

I have no doubt in my mind that a 180 lb Dempsey hit significantly harder than a 300+ lb Valuev, and much harder than anyone Valuev has fought so far.

Mccline, Ruiz, Donald? None of those guys have a punch to brag about. Valuev's chin seems sturdy so far but he's never fought a guy who can punch his weight, let alone over it.
