I don't remember that Quartey fight being signed either, but thanks. I recall Felix-Norris not happened after it was made. Tito didn't eat leftovers at least that point was made.

Trinidad was more of a risk to Whitaker or Quartey at the time and much less reward than Oscar. They knew that as well.
Tito would have never touched a prime Whitaker, never touched him. Were talking the same type of 11-12 round shutouts we saw againt Nard and Wink just 12 years earlier.

I would have picked Tito by KO against Quartey but he would have had to take some serious punishment to do so.

Who has the better left hook?

I think Trinidad does. The first knockdown and second to last knockdown against Vargas are my favorite left hooks of all time.

Buddy your post is full of horse**** and you know it.

You know more about boxing than I do, top be b=honest. But your opinion on this subject is hateful garbage. Oscar is a much better all around fighter than Trinidad, and it's not even all that close.

Tito's left hook is one of the more devistating punches of any era.

I think Whitaker-Trinidad would have looked very much like Whitaker-JC Vasquez. Felix was to slow of foot to beat Whitaker a few years before he fought him. We can agree on that much. Tito-Ike would have been huge when Ike was still launching right hands and looking like a monster. After JL Lopez he started jabbing way too much.

Whitaker would never have an easy fight with Trinidad. Prime Whitaker was not a welterweight. He was prime at lightweight. He was not nearly as big, tall, or rangy as Hopkins, Wright, or Oscar.

Whitaker wasn't dominant at welterweight like he was at lightweight. No welterweight he dominated was anywhere near Trinidad level. The closest thing to domination by Whitaker over a real top level welterweight was the rematch with Buddy, in which Pea still got dropped.

If you want to hate on Oscar you can make a case that he may have avoided Ike if Lopez didnt expose him a bit.

The ring of truth kills you doesn't it. I would have liked Oscar to establish himself as a dominant champ at 140 and I would be okay. He could lay claim to the best champ in a divison and not the nomad he has become.

Hey why are we even still discussing Oscar wasn't he supposed to be retired way before the age of 30. Didn't he plan on going back to college or something? Odd that he lied about something.lol

Sorry I couldn't resist ribbing you on that last part.
