I thought the WHOLE point of Calzaghe trying to get fights with Guys Like Hopkins .Taylor and Wright was to fight Americans In AMERICA to gain exposure.. Which is what Cal has been saying all along..
Hopkins comes out looking a little ****** in this one I am afraid..

Calzone thinks he is in the league of an all time great like Hopkins? He thinks his 20 defenses is on the same level? Not when he stacks his record with nobodies like Manfredo and Bika. Hopkins has a sterling record fighting great fighters. Somebody remind me of a GREAT FIGHTER that Calzone ever fought?

This is on the same level of ridicule as that 7 ft freak who is chasing Marciano's undefeated record in heavyweight. What is with Europe stacking their fighters with tomato cans before releasing them against true threats? Jermain Taylor took on the best after a record of 20+. Apparently Euro fighters need to build confidence of 40 tomatos first.

Calzaghe will fight in the US, if he gets through Manfredo ...which he should...I think the Manfredo fight is a forerunner to him fighting in Vegas against Hopkins and Taylor, then perhaps Kessler in Europe.

If Calzaghe doesn`t fight in the US in his final 3 or 4 fights, he will only have himself to blame...but i believe he will, i think there will be too much money on the table for him to turn it down.

Cmon man, Hopkins has only fought great people in his last 5 fights. DLH was a welterweight as was tito. Hopkins record against middleweights is not strong as well, because there werent any great middleweights to box. And the same is for Joe.

What a shame then that he's probably going to break your boy's record huh? Hopefully even by beating Hopkins on his 21st defence...in his own backyard.
