What is all this hype over Kessler? He hasn`t beaten anyone worth a dime.

Can someone explain to me?...I think he is just an average fighter feeding off of vacant titles and a lack of competition....

kessler is without doubt in the top 2 smw in the world. he's beaten everyone put in front of him with ease. who does he have to beat to not be classed as "hyped"? because the only proven boxer left worth fighting is calzaghe and there won't be any shame in losing to him.

Sven Ottke..?? How do you compare a guy who only "wins" narrow point desicions in Germany, with Kessler who has won every fight impressively until now ?

So.. somebody question who would win if Calzaghe faced Kessler. This is a good thing, you make it sound like it's blasphemy. Would a fight be worth anything if no one really favored Calzaghe’s opposition?? - Just a showcase, nothing else.
Kessler, Hopkins, Taylor or who ever is next, I just expect a good fighter to make good fights.

Anyone who watched Kessler, regardless of his oppenents, and comes away thinking this guy does not have the goods...well, they are deluding themselves and perhaps need to confront their own bias and standards.

It's not always who you beat. It's how you beat them.

Kessler looks the part because he is the part.

I am not a fan of Kessler and rooted against him every round, for the record. If you watch boxing long enough, you know a good fighter when you see one.

Excellent post. No doubt Kessler has what it takes, and he should be next up for Calzaghe if (and IMO when) he beats Manfredo.
