Three honest questions about Joe Calzaghe to his loyal fans and haters!!!!!!

Hes unarguably the best 168 pounder in the world......no question.

    He's 42-0....remarkable.

He's fast, he's slick and he can box......no doubt.

He's beaten everyone they put in front of him and about 95% of the time hes beat them rather easy.

    The Questions!!!!!!!

    1. Do you guys think that Joe Calzaghe realizes hes fought "no one" of any significance in 42 fights ????

    2. Do you guys think that Joe Calzaghe should move up in weight to light heavy or higher(175 lbs) to challenge guys like Hopkins, Tarver,Winky???, Roy Jones, Chad Dawson, Paul Briggs, Adamsek, etc.?????

    3. Do you guys think that if Joe Cal retires without fighting Kessler or any of the big boys at 175lbs that his whole career was a farce????

    Thank You..now time to debate.

Although your argument is unbiased, your questions are all catered towards the negative. This isnt criticism of you or this thread, but it is rather leading. If you wanted this to be an equal debate, your questions should've been a bit more even-handed.

For example, your first questions suggests that its undeniable that he HASNT faced anyone of significance (I realise this may be you playing devil's advocate. But nevertheless, it is a leading question).

The second question assumes that that Calzaghe isnt already challenging those guys and that moving up is the only way that he would be (with Winky and Taylor...perhaps his two best shots at a big fight, thats not really the case).

The third question gives the impression that Calzaghe's long reign and record defences is currently a farce, which is ridiculous really.

The 'big boys' at 175 is a joke. Froch, Bute, and Kessler are better comp than (AT THIS POINT) Tarver and Jones. Adamek was just schooled in his last fight.

i agree with alot off your statments,

this guy (calzaghe) NEEDS to focus on the big boys after manfredo but we always say its calzaghe whos been ducking the big boys but i don't think taylor, adamek, winky, hopkins and co would be KNOCKin calzaghes door down if calzaghe startd callin out names

calzaghe would take Tarver, taylor, adamek and all them dudes out the boys 2 fast and slick, winky in my minds a true light middlewight and he would get took out, calzaghe needs to wake up and understand he has to take a RISk and not worry about the legendry records 42-0 20 title defeses,

Chad Dawsons a joke compared to calzaghe, kessler, hopkins, or anyone who's good that decides to go up to light heavy weight.

Not a fan of adamek, so i probably offended adamek fans. I just personally think the light heavy weight class is currently filled with no one that good

Dawson even though slightly unexperienced would still give Joe C. and anyone else at 168-175 hell......

Anyway I think Calzaghe still has time for a few big career defining fights if he gets going after Manfredo.....He is a young 35 I mean as you stated he has beaten most of his opponents rather easily. It will happen and he will make or break his legend when it does......

Some of you do not appreciate the difficulty of facing a southpaw fighter, even as a southpaw. Yes, 175 is more challenging to Joe. Joe is used to fighting at 168, where guys are not quite as big. Also, Adamek is a fine fighter...he was undefeated until Dawson. If Dawson was a righty, then Adamek might have beaten him. Kessler is the only guy at 168 worth fighting. After that, there are guys like Woods, Hopkins, Dawson, Johnson, Adamek, Briggs, and so on to be fought at 175.

If Jones can beat Hanshaw, then he would be a viable opponent for Joe.

                First and foremost, there's Kessler.

Nobody of any significance? Isn't that amazing! Nearly everybody this side of the pond predicted Lacy would get and early KO.
