I agree that Wlad is the number one heavyweight at the moment, but Peter is number 2 in my book, and he's come on a lot since he lost to Klitschko. And let's face it, the number two guy beating the number one guy is not unheard of. It's the basis of sport championships. Peter could beat Wladimir, I'm not saying he would do but he definitely could beat him.

Peter would have a puncher's chance against anyone, the guy hits like a freight train, and his skills have been improving by leaps and bounds since way before he lost to Klitchko. The only problems he'd have against Wladimir right now, would be the same ones he had the first go...speed, boxing skill, size. I actually think he'd have a better chance in a second fight, simply because Wlad would be a little more comfortable, and might trade a little more, giving Peter a better chance of catching him with a clean shot early in a round so he'd have a good shot at finishing (I don't think Wlad will be KO'd by a single punch unless it's in deep water). The problem with that scenario is that, if Wlad did trade more, it's just as likely he'd catch Peter and KO him, maybe even more so. I can't think of anyone right now who has the neck-twisting left hook, and the bonecrushing right hand that Wlad does. And Peter seems to get caught with the hook off a jab, something that Klitchko does often and well. Also, Kiltchko had no problem finding Peter with his right, once he started throwing. Every time Peter caught one I winced.....they sounded like thunder.
Anyway, it'd be a great fight to watch (better than the first, I think), but if I had to make a pick, I'd call it Wlad by KO somewhere between the 4th and 6th. I'd like to see Peter wait at least another year or so before fighting Klitchko again. Once he's a little more polished, it could be a heavyweight fight that would make the world sit up and take notice.Comment

I'd like to see Peter knock out Maskaev and then challenge Wlad in a unifier. That would be a great fight and would sort out the heavies for good. I would also like to read about Briggs getting beaten by someone. I wouldn't want to see it though, unless I'm having trouble sleeping.Comment

I remember Peter hitting Wlad with rabbit punches a lot in their fight. Two of the knockdowns were from rabbit punches. Wlad said after the fight that Peter was giving him "blow jobs" to the back of the head, and he wasn't prepared for that.
When hunters find an animal they shot still alive, they hit it in the back of the head to kill it quickly, that's where the expression "rabbit punches" came from (hitting rabbits in the back of the head to quickly kill them). Boxers have been killed in the ring by blows to the back of the head.
I don't like Peter because of those rabbit punches, which he resorts to whenever he starts to lose. He did the same against Toney. I just hope the ref stops him from doing it to Oleg, since rabbit punches can cause brain damage, and it would be sad for Oleg to have brain damage so close to his retirement.Comment

So if Briggs win then you will jump of the nearest bridge, right??I bet my life that ibragimov beats his ass. Hell the two crappy fighter briggs lost to are the same hight as ibragimov plus had a bad record. Briggs sucks ass, he not good. He couldn't even compete with an old george foreman.
