HOLLYWOOD, FL, March 15 – Edison Miranda has been called the people’s middleweight champion and the uncrowned champion at 160 pounds. Now, none other that Bernard ‘The Executioner’ Hopkins, one of the greatest middleweights of all-time and a future Hall of Famer, has given a ringing endorsement to ‘Pantera’, saying in a recent video interview now viewable on www.warriorsboxing.com that “Miranda is the guy I pass the torch to.”

hopkins knows that if he were to have fought miranda instead of tarver, he would have lost. and he respects it.
and I respect them both, although I hold hopkins a little higher. that man deserves more respect than anyone else in the sport. handles his biz, roid free, no out of ring troubles. only PR's hate him for tossing their flag.Comment

kay...taylor didn't really 'beat' hopkins the way you're supposed to beat a champion. You could say Taylor beat Hopkins...You could also say a raisin is a fruit... taylor received more damage in each bout from hopkins than he applied to hopkins in both bouts combined, and was given gift decisions due to his aggression, youth, and 'good ole boy, yessa massa' attitude. hopkins, a 40+ year old man actually had taylor hanging on for dear life in survival mode.
It's only a matter of time before Miranda touches up on Taylor's chin. Miranda will be a great reigning champion, long live the Pantera.Comment
