All the big athletes of that time were juycing. It's silly of fans to even worry about, or try to exempt the guy they are a fan of. Some ****** was even trying to claim Roy Jones never juyced.
Badblood even said Bonds never juyced.
They all did, the Klits, Tyson, Holyfield, McGwire, Roy Jones, and a ****inh thousand others.Comment

However, we must mention, if Tyson did use steroids, D'amato, Rooney, Jacobs, and Cayton, some of the biggest names in the history of the sport, are partially responisble.
The only comment I ever remember reading about Tyson talking about steroids was when he was asked in an article about James Toney, and Tyson said something like, 'could you imagine if I took steroids, I would be a lethal weapon, they would hang me for that' {something on those lines}. How true the artricle was, I don't know, anything is possible in this world of fake bull****.
Brian Kenny did once ask Teddy Atlas on ESPN about if he knew any fighter that was on steroids...Atlas replied something like {since you must forgive my bad memory}, I knew {or heard about} a fighter that was taking them, but when he got off them, he wasn't as confident. Now this could be anybody, from the people he knew around the gym, to one of his fighter's opponents (who funny enough is accused at the moment and will not mention any names since that will not be Holy to the sport), to one of his own fighters.Comment

First, Tyson was 220 in his younger days anyway, right?
Well, by the time he got out of prison and started training he was already in his mid-late 20's, and by then the hormone DHT is released at higher level. DHT is responsible for muscle strength, which improves muscle. He was still around the same weight, 220-225. By this time, I am sure he hired a nutritionist who could workout his diet. The slightest change in your diet can alter the way you look for the better, ex: Eat a lot of pasta for a week, look at the difference. At least that's how it works for me.
For the negative, the obvious, Tyson is in the pool with the other athletes accused.Comment

If everybody is doing it, than Tiger Woods is as well. Same with Roger Federar and the rest. After all, look at how great they are.
What would make you think everybody did?
Because of the "Times", the muscle, or something else?
Like I said, steroids have been out since the 1930's so everybody is suspect from that point on.Last edited by Benny Leonard; 03-14-2007, 10:54 AM.Comment

Tyson probably took Steroids after prison for cutting purposes I am almost positive. Holyroid as you say took them much longer and much more often without a doubt. This shows his true colors. Mr I am a huge Christian yet I have a hundred illegitimate children and frequently commit adultery. Tyson recognizes his flaws and talks about them Evander doesn't think he has any. And somehow Tyson is the one people don't like.
my stance has nothing to do with tyson's out-of-the-ring behavior. which was pretty ****ed up, looking back.
evander won't punk out and bite u, or hit buster mathis jr. after he's down. or hit the ref during the savarese bout. or elbow seldon,or trying to break botha's arm, or hit orlin norris, among others, after the bell, etc. tyson has exceeded any and all excuses for behavior in the ring, he doesn't respect the sports rules and regulations, and never has.
I mean, selling a fight and **** is cool, but you can do that without charging at a man and biting his leg at a press conference. that **** is just ugly.
ps who cares who, when,or what he ****ed while he was married. Personally I think the dude was spiritual to be a role model for his children, but maybe he's a little more religious than average, probably because of his last name. I can see evander convincing himself that he's some kind of prophet because his last name is holyfield.Last edited by SquareCircle; 03-14-2007, 10:54 AM.Comment

at least, when evander loses, he loses like a man.

The others weren't all that terrible or unusual (lots of guys, including Holyfield, hit after the bell and use elbows/forearms).
It was Rid**** Bowe who hit Mathis when he was down.
Those damn Brooklynites always being dirty.Comment

Crazy. The hatchet is coming down. This is good as an admission from Holyfield.
Whenever an athlete says "ok, i think I unknowingly took something...". It means that they knowingly took something.Comment

This statement comes across like a confession. He's saying 'ya I took steroids but I didn't know what they were and I only used them briefly'. He's copping to it and at the same time trying to minimize his guilt. Same thing with naming Tyson. I don't think he's trying to snitch or divert attention so much as trying to justify himself and minimize what he's done. He's saying 'look if I didn't take steroids Tyson would have had an unfair advantage over me'Comment
