    Alert, Conspiracy Theory:

I also wonder if it wasn't so much steroids as it may have been ******* use by Tyson. He has admitted using blow and it seems other fighters from Whitaker to Aaron Pryor have used the stuff. This is all assumptions, but isn't Carlos "Panama" Lewis with Tyson and Pryor?
Pryor and Panama were accused of the "bottle" which gave him energy.
Tyson, the guy went nuts inside the ring in his second part of his career.
Emanuel Steward also wanted Tyson drug tested after the fight, not before, when he fought Lennox Lewis because of what I think was Panama being in his camp.

    All this is just speculation.

However, we must mention, if Tyson did use steroids, D'amato, Rooney, Jacobs, and Cayton, some of the biggest names in the history of the sport, are partially responisble.

The only comment I ever remember reading about Tyson talking about steroids was when he was asked in an article about James Toney, and Tyson said something like, 'could you imagine if I took steroids, I would be a lethal weapon, they would hang me for that' {something on those lines}. How true the artricle was, I don't know, anything is possible in this world of fake bull****.

Brian Kenny did once ask Teddy Atlas on ESPN about if he knew any fighter that was on steroids...Atlas replied something like {since you must forgive my bad memory}, I knew {or heard about} a fighter that was taking them, but when he got off them, he wasn't as confident. Now this could be anybody, from the people he knew around the gym, to one of his fighter's opponents (who funny enough is accused at the moment and will not mention any names since that will not be Holy to the sport), to one of his own fighters.
I am leaning toward your way of thinking that it was a nutritionist that made the difference. Holyfield trained with Lee Haney for crying out loud. Cus was very anti drug, he even sewed his pockets shut in the fifties out of fear someone would slip drugs in em. He was so paranoid of Cops he wouldn't think of giving Tyson roids.

evander won't punk out and bite u, or hit buster mathis jr. after he's down. or hit the ref during the savarese bout. or elbow seldon,or trying to break botha's arm, or hit orlin norris, among others, after the bell, etc. tyson has exceeded any and all excuses for behavior in the ring, he doesn't respect the sports rules and regulations, and never has.

I mean, selling a fight and **** is cool, but you can do that without charging at a man and biting his leg at a press conference. that **** is just ugly.

ps who cares who, when,or what he ****ed while he was married. Personally I think the dude was spiritual to be a role model for his children, but maybe he's a little more religious than average, probably because of his last name. I can see evander convincing himself that he's some kind of prophet because his last name is holyfield.
Someone that wears their Christianity on his sleeve is held to a higher standard. Last time I checked Adultery was a sin. Some Christian role model he is.

I don't think he's trying to snitch or divert attention so much as trying to justify himself and minimize what he's done. He's saying 'look if I didn't take steroids Tyson would have had an unfair advantage over me'
yea,,,I dont know why athletes cant just admit it instead of the old,,,"oh well I didnt know what it was" route. it just makes them look even worse

I detest Panama Lewis with a passion. He's a scumbag and a waste of human life.

So that means nobody is honest. Funny because many were juicing in the 70's and many athletes have been known to say "NO" to steroids back then.

That would mean Derek Jeter, Maddox, every soccer player, tennis player, HOLY ****, I am never watching sports again. Jordan took steroids too, ****. I should of known John Kruk was on steroids, ****, he was on my favorite team with the accused steroid user Lenny Dykstra, '93 Phillies.

              NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Pro Athletes know exactly what goes into their bodies and this is the worst excuse ever.

My favorite excuse was Tex Cobb after failing a drug test for weed.

Cobb was probably saying that to be funny. The guy had the greatest quotes ever. I would love to hear why he tested positive for blow that time.

The fact of the matter is we don't know who took what, but he do know what they showed in the ring, and I've never heard of a drug that gives you the balls Holyfield has, or the determination. If he did take them, then yes, his legacy would be somewhat tainted, but even then, he's still be a legend in my book, and would be in huge company with a lot of other people who have taken drugs IMO. That's not to say that drugs should be acceptable, but it seems to be a huge part of sport.

I find it hard to believe that a boxer who has been pro for so many years wouldn't have been caught at some point. Lets just wait on evidence before we make any real judgements here.
