Boxing is no longer a mainstream sport. Most people don't watch it, follow it, or know much of anything about any boxers. So, it takes a very good script, or big name actors, to make most movie goers want to watch a boxing film. Cinderella man only did respectably- not amazing. Million Dollar Baby, on the other hand, was praised for being a great movie and did well at the box office. One was based on a real boxer and the other was a story about euthanasia, not boxing- despite what you might think. So, which did better and why? If Bernard wants his life story to be taken seriously he needs to get a good script and good actors.
Will Smith was an actor before he was a rapper. He was in Fresh Prince, etc. long before his music career- so scratch him off the rapper-turned-actor list.
naw yo, he got the show the fresh prince after his rap career, that's why it's called the fresh prince.....................

???????????????????????????????? The 'Fresh Prince' role was based on his early career, silly. Forget we 'Parents just Don't UNderstand', 'The Girls of the World', and 'Nobody Can Beat Mike Tyson'.

I must be iron-clad with every boxing statement I ever make because, as a God, I have never been so corrected by something I have said on this board! Haha! I have had four or five people in this thread inform me of my lapse about Will Smith. My apologies.
I recently noticed Xzibit is a solid actor. He played his part well, though small, in Gridiron Gang. He would work well in a Bernard Hopkins movie. In fact, he may not look like him, but I'd rather see him than the Game as B-Hop.
