JC Chavez Jr. the next Tito Trinidad

Yup, that's right, I said it. Junior has reminded me of Tito for a while now and I just watched his fight from last night and it hit me yet again. His style is almost identical to that of the great Puerto Rican champion even though Junior never had an amateur career.

He's growing fast, tho. He weighed in at 151.25 for last night's fight so it might be really hard for him to stay at welterweight long (he started his career at 130 just three and a half years ago).

I give Jr about 2-3 more fights before he steps it up to a known guy. Seeing as he's probably going to be fighting at Welterweight, he might fight someone like Sharmba, Klose, Urkal, Cosme Rivera, or Mark Suarez.

Keep your eye out for this kid.

hello no, the kid does not have the goods like his dad. he already should have lost one fight that became a suspect draw.

You know, I thought about that when I saw him last time out. His style did remind me a lot of Trinidad. Chavez is looking a lot better now, but definitely his handspeed is far from Trinidad's. They should match him up against a puncher, that should give us an idea of how far he'll get in the sport.

No way, Tito was already taking on tough opposition in his first 18 fights like jake rodriguez and alberto cortes.

When I 1st saw Chavez Jr, I said wow, he is soooooooooooo slow. BUt he was a kid, 17 at the time, and, I found out no amature exp. So he was learning on the job, but when I saw him 20 fights later, his speed had improved, he has a really nice left hook combo to the body. I have seen him get cut, and just get more angry, so theres some level of heart so far. Hes is still in his very early 20's, and my advice would be, take him slow, and move up gradually, and let him develope. I am not saying he is going to be great, but he may suprise us a few times. I myself have grown into an early fan.
