Harry Greb. I have absolutly no idea how he can be rated as one of the greatest p4p fighters of all time when about 4 people alive have actualy seen him fight. There are no videos of him. None. ZERO. Are there videos of people he fought? Yes. Are there videos of other fighters of his era? Yes. So if he was so good, why didnt anybody bother to film him?

Ali is a ridiculous shout for this. Considering one of the top 5 boxers of all time as being THE BEST boxer of all time is not overrating him hugely.

However, calling the likes of Maywhether (admittedly perhaps the best boxer of our generation...so far into his career) the 'greatest of all time' like some have on here is a much worse thing.

Id also somewhat agree with the sugar ray robinson answer, any claims that there are no videos of him in his prime make me dubious. He is without a doubt, a very very good fighter. Without a doubt, a very hard hitting fighter, but Im not quite so sure his "prime" that wasnt caught on film is all its cracked up to be.

I'm kinda shooting myself in the foot here but I'd have to say Kostya Tszyu, which is a shame as he's one of my all time favourite fighters and Ricky Hatton's best win. But I dont understand where he's got his legendary status from. He was stopped twice, once in his prime and his best win was over Zab, a great win for sure but does it really allow him the status he has?

I wish I wasnt posting this!

I also think tyson is one of the most underated fighters of all time. People rag on him for who he fought, but if you just watch him fight, you will realize that up until about his 18th fight he was perfect.

AMAZING defense, fast hands, good footwork, lots of power, fast combinations. After his 18th fight, I think he started to buy into the hype that was starting to surround him and it was down hill from there.

But in his very short prime, Tyson was an example of the PERFECT swarmer.

What the **** are you talking about?
Even the casual boxing fan knows about Fraizer, Liston, Patterson and Foreman.

IMO SRR is the most overrated boxer in history.

here's a little clip of greb, he isn't in action though. it shows how chiseled he was, however. great quality for being so old.

Greb is just simply unknown. We don't have fights to watch of him. For me the answer is easily Tyson and my logic is simple. Who was the best fighter he ever beat?

Please explain to me how Robinson is the most over-rated fighter in boxing? He was around in an era where boxers didnt get over-rated or under-rated cos the promoting was different back then and more fighters fought the best. Robinson fought the best and beat them. Look at his record against LaMotta. In my opinion LaMotta is a legend and Robinson used to make him his ***** back in the day.
