Dominating the lower weight classes should hold just as much bearing as dominating the higher classes IMO.I don't see the difference. Not every fighter on most people's P4P list have a lot of big names on their resume.Just look at Calzaghe & Hatton. But none the less,Marquez has some good wins. Two wins over Mark Johnson(Top dog at the time),and solid wins over Ricardo Vargas,Tim Austin,Silence Mubuza, and now Vazquez.

I also have a problem with anyone putting Cal or Hatton in the top 5!

In the last 6 years Marquez has beaten:

          Former world champions:
          Mark Johnson x2
          Tim Austin
          Mauricio Pastrana x2
          Israel Vazquez

          Top Ranked Contenders:

          Ricardo Vargas
          Silence Mabuza x2
          Heriberto Ruiz
          Peter Frissina

          He's a beast.

rafa was already p4p before the fight, so its only logical after the fight he goes higher ...

i have my reservation but top 5-6 is a good number for him, beat ponce & caballero then win a FW championship and he will be up there ....

Here's Ring's pound for pound Ranking as of today:

                1) FLOYD MAYWEATHER Welterweight
                2) MANNY PACQUIAO Jr. Lightweight
                3) WINKY WRIGHT Middleweight
                4) JERMAIN TAYLOR Middleweight
                5) BERNARD HOPKINS Lt. Heavyweight
                6) MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA Jr. Lightweight
                7) RAFAEL MARQUEZ Bantamweight
                8) JOE CALZAGHE Super Middleweight
                9) RICKY HATTON Jr. Welterweight
                10) SHANE MOSLEY

I don't have any problem with Rafa occupying the 7th position. But will certainly disagree if he's going to dislodge MAB and Bhops on the 6th and 5th position.

So I guess that's just right.
