Tito's corner knew it was close, papa trinidad was saying "we gotta get him", In dela hoya's corner, trainer alcazar was overheard saying "box the next two rounds, thats what all we need" whether it was a wrong advice, tito was taking it to dela hoya the last 4 rounds and oscar just stopped fighting.

"I was protecting the rounds I had in the bag" - Oscar

      What does that tells you?

Yeah Trinidad had the better career

Better record, more title defenses, beat most of the same fighters as Oscar, only that he beat them first, and a W over Oscar...nuff said.

He was still robbed though, the reaction on Titos part after the decision was given to him I feel only validated this.. Tito wasn't expecting to win.
Yeah, it's hard to expect a decision on your favor on Oscar's backyard...

Both had great careers but different styles....all around skills, speed, power, stamina, chin all factored in......Oscar is/was the better fighter.....and please don't think I am hating because it there was a #6 in my sig it would probably be Trinidad.....I loved watching him fight.

you forgetting oscar's career below welter?????????????????

the fact that you have to bring titos "win" over oscar is pretty annoying..............

youre letting your ethnicity blind you, bro...

in fact you could make more of an argument for oscar winning the 9th round than for tito to have won a round in the first 8 rounds(with the possible exception of the fifth)

You need to watch more boxing if you thought that was "one of the best boxing efforts" you have seen. Delahoya was dominant in rounds 6, 7 and 8. That's were most of the highlights of that fight come from. The first 5 rounds were close and I had it 3-2 for Delahoya. Then those next three rounds Delahoya took the lead 6-2 and looked to be on his way to victory but then came those last 4 rounds. Those last four rounds even the score in my opinion.

Trinidad won rounds 2 and 5 in my opinion. The first round was very close that I gave to Delahoya on activity alone because Tito landed the harder punches. Round 3 was Delahoya's and round 4 was another close round that could have gone either way but I gave to Delahoya based on activity.

Irregardless, it's a sad day in boxing when one man outlands his opponent by almost 200 punches and losses a decision..

If you scored the first 8 rounds for Oscar, you without a doubt, were affected by the HBO crew nuthuggin comments during the fight...

And yeah, he beat a lot of good out of prime fighters below welter...
