Oscar vs Tito..The last four rounds!!

Just saw a documentary on this fight.. I am no fan of Tito but I think Oscar was being dishonest in post fight interviews when he said " My corner told me to stay away because I had the fight easily won".. Whens the last time you saw Oscar "just stay away"?

I think Oscars diminishing stamina and Titos power is what made him really stay away. What say you?

He faded, and he knew that Tito could hurt him bad or even KO him, plus he was expecting to get the D in las Vegas...

I had the fight a draw at the end, but I was more than happy that Tito won, he came to fight, Oscar didn't.

You expect 'intellectual honesty' from the rest of us when discussing fighters from our country. Don't defend the decision. Oscar was a bad matchup for Tito, and was/is simply a more talented fighter.

But the threadstarter has a point. He was exhausted also against Quartey also.

He listen to his corner. Plan and simple. He made tito look ****** for 8 rounds. Oscar displayed one of the best boxing efforts in those 8 rounds I've for a long time. Tito missing Oscar by a mile. The truth hurts.

No doubt Oscar took his power very seriously and I don't really know if his corner was telling him that or not either way he showed he could easily outbox Tito thru 8 rounds and put on the skates.....bad move in such a highly touted bout is all I can say.......do you think Winky would have gotten robbed had he danced the last 4 rounds? **** no because by then it was obvious to the judges Tiot could not KO Winky regardless....DLH left that notion open by being so careful the whole fight and then completely trying to scam the last 4 rounds.......to me tho either way the judges must have been trying to pay him back for his close calls with Whitaker and Quartey......IMO DLH still should have won the fight because even tho he ran Tito did not hurt him or anything unlike the scenrio of Taylor/Hopkins I, when Taylor seemed to have won most of the first half of the fight very closely not dominating like DLH did and then Hopkins simply whooped him the last 4 rounds......and Hopkins still lost.
