I just saw Morrison against Ruddock on kotv the other day. Morrison sure hit hard and had Ruddock rubbery legged a few times, but also showed how vulnerable his chin was himself.
But it seemed the ref stopped the fight way to early imo. Ruddock was just riding the round out and then the ref stops it. I cant beleive it.

yea,,,I remember that well. I thought he should have let ruddock go on but that was a brutal knockdown. you could see ruddock was out before he smashed the canvas and that woke him up. still,,,morrison was tired and the ref should have at least gave ruddock another chance

i know, i only saw highlights but Morrison looked exhausted and those were pitter patter punches that i could have taken. The power in morrison had gone. Ruddock woiuld have been alright in the next round. I dont know about Morrison though. He looked tired.

Tommy has awesome power. The last quality to go away with age. Plus one of the five fighters that beat Big George.
I look forward to watching some fights of his.

But Mercer could take a helluva punch, he did KO Razor Ruddock, who DID have a good chin...

You dug out this thread to say this?

Tommy was a lot of things and mostly negative, but one thing for sure is that left hook was legit.

For a man of his generation he had good power, but it was far superceded by Next-Gen Man, Deontay Wilder, who has since been surpassed by even more Next-Gen man, Jake Paul. Jake Paul showed in his demolition 80-72 win over prime Mike Tyson, that Next-Gen men are better, just as the Next-Gen after this will be. Going back to the olden days of Sugar Ray Robinson, he couldn't even live with the likes of Amir Khan, who is far more Next-Gen than Robinson.

We need to appreciate these amazing Next-Gen boxers whilst we have them, before they are replaced by the future Next-Gen. Jake "The Great" Paul is so good he may even be able to handle himself with the future Next-Gens, but even for him, not the Next-Next-Gens. Nash out - His Most Majestic Majesty

jake paul is clearly an amazing boxer, dont think anyone can deny that but he has no power. lewis ko'd tyson who ko'd ruddock who was ko'd by morrison. this proves a lot and makes perfect sense
