    Tommy Morrison Punching Power

Now that Morrison is back in action, we will see how far his punch will take him this time. Morrison was always an exciting fighter to watch; his punch and quickness made for explosive fights. On a punch for punch basis, I think Morrison hit just as hard as some of the well-known punchers of yesteryear - Foreman, Cooney, Shavers, Tyson, e.t.c. Make no mistake here; I'm not ranking Morrison the fighter on the same level as alot of those guys. I'm stricltly talking about his punch. I mean, Morrison could really crack. I honestly don't think George Foreman or Gerry Cooney or any of those bombers from the past had much if anything on Morrison in the punch department. What do you think???

P.S...The steroid thing is bound to come up I'm sure.....But, oh well.....

Many fighters like Mercer and Pinklon Thomas have said publicly that Tommy was the hardest hitter they ever fought. Which says alot about his power. He had very quick hands and you make a good point.

when morrison was boxing i have no doubt he had the hardest left hook at the time and IMO i can't see many people in history having a more powerful one!

if morrison hit so hard how come he couldnt knock out lennox lewis who didnt exactly have a great chin . morisson hit hard but his power is vastly overrated on this board . he never knocked out anybody who had a good chin.

Maybe because he didnt land enough on Lennox Lewis. But he landed a lot on Mercer and couldnt beat him though.
