Tommy Morrison is severely under rated.

exactly.ONLY ON THIS BOARD.Ive never heard lampley, merchant or ne hbo or showtime commentator talk about morrison's power when talking about the hardest hitters ever. They even mentioned sam peter.

I would take the word of Pinklon Thomas and Mercer over guys that have never stepped into a boxing ring. Why would Thomas and Mercer hype Tommys power?

Yea cuz we all know that nobody is truly a hard hitter unless an HBO commentator says you are.

Morrison was always an exciting fighter to watch; his punch and quickness made for explosive fights. On a punch for punch basis, I think Morrison hit just as hard as some of the well-known punchers of yesteryear - Foreman, Cooney, Shavers, Tyson, e.t.c. Make no mistake here; I'm not ranking Morrison the fighter on the same level as alot of those guys. I'm stricltly talking about his punch. I mean, Morrison could really crack. I honestly don't think George Foreman or Gerry Cooney or any of those bombers from the past had much if anything on Morrison in the punch department. What do you think???

P.S...The steroid thing is bound to come up I'm sure.....But, oh well.....
morrison had a left hook that could nearly decapitate a man literally,,,but I cant see him being able to beat even a top 30 guy after being out 11 years. I hear he looked dreadful his last fight. of course he's going to be rusty but losing even a first round to a guy with 6 fights and no talent at all is a bit scary,,,,plus he was exhausted after 1 freaking round. hell,,,,bums on the street could go a round without huffing and puffing too badly

he never hit lewis with a clean punch. other fighters like mercer and pinklon thomas have mentioned morrison as the hardest puncher they ever faced so I'd say the proof is there. his overall skills maybe overrated by some but his power is not. end of story

lol,,,,HBO doesnt get into discussions on hardest hitting heavyweights of all time. they always stressed morrisons punching power when he was a player in the division. we all know you dont like white boys getting any attention but lets not try to make things up here

sooooooo cause 2 guys said he hits really hard its automatically true? We should count how many of tysons opponents said tyson hit the hardest.
