Actually the cruiserweight limit is till 200 pounds, if your above that your a heavyweight, Evander was 190 pounds against Carlos De Leon, and then when he moved to Heavyweight in his next fight (which was after four months) he was 202 pounds against James Tillis, just 2 pounds over the cruiserweight limit, then after James Tillis his next fight (4 months later again) he was 210 lbs against Pinklos Thomas, so basically he was 190, 202, and then 210 so he went from 190 to 210 in 8 months, which is not really that much - gaining 20 pounds (8.5 KG) is not that much Specially for a guy like Holyfield, he was 6'3

These days Heavyweight fighters weigh in 20 pounds lighter at the actual weigh-in at the scales, when its fight night they gain that much (15 to 20 pounds), just the next day.

You're right about the 200 lbs. limit today. But when Holyfield was a Cruiser the weight limit in the division was under 200 lbs. I'm not sure but the weight limit could have even been at 190 lbs. for the division as well. I'll check that out to verify.

In 2003 the weight limit was changed to 200lbs. for Cruiser. When Holyfield fought as one in the 80's the limit was 190 lbs.

Thanks for verifying this, I was wondering because Holyfield weighed in at 190, 187, 185 for his cruiserweights fights, and today fighters weigh in at 200 lbs or less
