one of my favorite things about johnson was all the trash he talked while he was in the ring. when he'd hit jj jeffries in the body he'd say " how u feelin' mr. jeff?"

well, it wasn't really trashy. i mean, his trash talk had class. it was nothing like the **** we hear james toney spout. johnson, for the most part, was a really respectable man whithout even taking into consideration the still barbaric times in which he lived.

I have seen tons of Johnson footage over the years. All that is available I think. Unforgivable Blackness on DVD is a must see and it really tells everything there is to know about Johnson. He was a very interesting person and what was known at the time as a sport. Which was someone who loved to party,drink,gamble, drive fastcars and chase whores around. It is said he would **** 4 women(**********s) a night, he said to think distant thoughts for stamina.

He was friends with Stanley Ketchel who was also a sporting fellow and they would drink together on occasion. Johnson was a master story teller and some details of his life he may have made up.

oh, i know the expression. i'm an american in my mid twenties - believe me i know.

i only brought it up because i didn't know if he simply meant that jack was a smooth cat or if he actually thought that jack was a pimp.

just wanted to make it clear that he didn't pimp in case of misunderstanding. although, having been around as many "sporting women" as he was, he might as well have been. just kidding.
