Naz who was a good counter puncher, but leaped in with 1 shot at a time and relied solely on his power....not setting up combinations.

I'm not trying to discredit M.A.B.....because he's one of my favorite fighters, I'm just pointing out that none of these guys are Marquez at all. Especially not in the respective boxing department at the time they fought. Tapia in his prime of course, but he was well out of that.
    i know...
but then you can fall back that mab has more than a punchers chance. which is true. especially in middle rounds after accumallating mab punches.

    i dont know.not sure.
    jmm sd... ?

      M.A.B. can punch.

But I think you'll see that when he punches JMM it will only incite a war. That's where I think JMM will get the better of the seasoned vet.

      FOTY.

        my god...who's reffing?
it could play in the outcome.

MAb is the type of guy the comeback better and smart.

he was partly part of his fight he was underrated by many and writen of in history books but came back to prove himself from Nassem to Morales to Ayala and JMM is going to be the same.

si. and i always backed him.
but he's talking so much retirement.and all the wars...
and he's looking more and more like a business man with a gbp.
and who else better than jjm to go out on.
can he reach deep again for extra?
can he entice the slick jmm to go toe to toe?
will ref allow it to go on if they get punchdrunk.

my moneys on jmm. my hearts on barrera.
i don't loose either way mo.

I think that people are getting a bit carried away on JMM here. I think the guy is great yes, but so is Barrera. There is no way Barrera would take this fight if he didnt think he could win. He is smart. I think it is an uphill battle for him but only becuase he is losing speed, stamina with the ring age factor. As for these people saying JMM would have schooled Barrera years ago.......COMPLETE BULL****! Marquez has matured into the fighter he is now. 10 years ago Marquez would get whipped by Marquez now. A fight back then would have been a real 50-50 fight.

As for Barrera at the pres con........HE HAS NEVER HAD A THIN FACE. HIS FACE ALWAYS LOOKS BLOATED. LOOK AT PREVIOUS PRESSERS. I THINK HE LOOKS HEALTHY. THERE IS NO WAY HE WOULD BE OUT OF SHAPE FOR THIS FIGHT!

VERDICT- I think the smart money is on a JMM win, but I think that Barrera should not be discounted just yet!

same in here many guy in here are discounting MAb many time.

MAB is like Rocky Balboa and every loss he has he comes back stronger and better and you rarely see fighter comeout loss after loss after loss with many impressive wins

I just can't understand why people kept saying Marquez is younger when the fact is barrera is the younger between the two!
