I dont know bro I think JMM is definitely the harder puncher. If Barrera presses the action he is done imo for the fact that Marquez is a counter puncher.

And while Marquez would time the jab if Barrera was trying to circle him, I dont think that will be the case and Marquez wont be in his element going forward.

Did anyone see barrera's pictures in the press conference ..he looks like his eating a ham sandwich....no way he is in top form...even if he outboxes marquez which can never happen..barrera will get tired by the 5th round,,,,,meanwhile marquez looks in top shape and that is who usually wins /////

Yeah I saw Barrera eating a sandwich while Marquez was eating his lover's ****. I guess Marquez is healthier with all that protein.

              That's irrelevant.

As stated Barrera has been fighting pro since he was 15. He's been through far more ring wars than J.M.M. and he's been worn through some of them.

Sure he can fight with the left hand etc, and he will...but it's not likely to me that he'll exert the type of energy he did in let's say Morales I. He's already slowed down because you saw him struggle with Juarez in the first fight. Of course he has the ability to bounce back and he did that the second time around....but Juarez is a 1 dimmensional plodder and he could find M.A.B. with the right hand. JMM has way more skill than Juarez and can pick and chose shots not needing to set everything up.

the last time Barrera faced a real boxer/counterpuncher type he got knocked out by Jones. On a quality scale as it relates to boxing ability I'm not going to say Junior Jones has anywhere near as much skill or punching power as does Marquez.

Yeah, Juarez, Peden, Morales (who I don't consider a counterpuncher at all), Fana (Boxer, but can't crack an egg), Ayala (blown up free swinger who relies on speed and he didn't have that at 125 being a natural bantam), Old ass Johnny Tapia who once again didin't beong at 125 but at bantam. Naz who was a good counter puncher, but leaped in with 1 shot at a time and relied solely on his power....not setting up combinations.

I'm not trying to discredit M.A.B.....because he's one of my favorite fighters, I'm just pointing out that none of these guys are Marquez at all. Especially not in the respective boxing department at the time they fought. Tapia in his prime of course, but he was well out of that.
