Why don't you grow a pair and stop acting like a child? Seriously. I'm surprised it hasn't been said yet.

You don't have to like a fighter in order to respect them, and respect is earned not given. Some people think Mayweather hasn't earned their respect yet, and they are entitled to their own opinion. You bitching and moaning about posters not respecting your favorite fighter will win you no friends here.

(Before you flame me, keep in mind I respect floyd Mayweather and his inring ability, I always have. So please, save the "nuthugger" **** for your "get out of jail free" card.)

Whoa, stop right there if your going to be comparing Floyd Mayweather to Muhammed Ali. Ali was a self promoter, but I never heard of Muhammed Ali beating up his ex-girlfriends in night clubs.

Floyd is definately one of the best fighters of his generation, nobody can deny that.

People keep mentioning so called great boxers that PBF has beat in his distant past. I am gentlemanly to accept there word they were great, but i was just wondering why i havent heard of them. If you are a rated boxer it is almost impossible to not about you. I know who Mosely is. I know who DLH is. I know who Hatton is. I know who Cotto is. Because they are put forward as great boxers. I know who PBF is. But some of those names on PBFs record were probably overrated until PBF exposed them for what they were.
Just like Joe Calzaghe exposed Lacy. But i would agree that PBF hasnt really fought any truly great boxers, but the people he did beat he beat them convincinly and well. Apart from Castillo it seems. I heard he lost both fights. ON this forum btw.

And i accept pbf is a great boxer, because i keep hearing it said. If you hear things often enough you start believing it.

Undeniably he is one of the best of his generation and until he beats better opponents starting with Oscar then we can START looking at him as an All-Time great.

Ive always rooted for the humble fighters. Thats just me, the more **** you talk and don't do in the ring the less I like you.(Example "I'm gonna knock his ass out" then turn around and do anything close to knocking him out. Ali was calling the rounds he was gonna do what he said he was gonna do.He backed his talk with actually doing what he said or at least trying to do what he said.
Talking **** and gettign in the ring is a lot better than talking **** and never getting in the ring, wink wink Hatton!!

Alright, I got you. For a moment there I thought you were just anothe rone of his nuthuggers. My point was that you don't have to like a fighter personally in order to respect him. Many of us here are in agreeance that we dislike maywaether personally, but we're also in agreeance that we respect his talent.

The only people who will openly say Mayweather isn't talented are morons, simple as that. We're just sick of the groups of teenage boys who cheerlead for him constantly without ever really bringing anything to the table, discussion wise.

You just have to understand that you can respect a fighter without liking him. I've done it with many fighters, and Mayweather is one of them.

Well Hugh alot of those fighters that are put in the great boxer light are the ones who are truly overrated. Oscar gotta lot of hype from the Olympics, I didn' treally start hearing about Hatton until after Zoo. Cotto has the same thing in common with Floyd and Oscar, Bob Arum!! Bob does a great job promo his fighters that he beleives in, but he also tries to control them as well. And Floyd lost neither Castillo fight, the first was close though and the second was clear as day. U should try and see those fights...

So when Mayweather wins a lopsided decision against DLH, you will say DLH was exposed as well?

There's a difference when comparing someone like Castillo to someone like Lacy. Lacy had never proven a thing in the ring. He was just really hyped up and people thought he could knock anybody out. Plus, a lot of people felt Calzaghe hadn't really been tested either.

All of the top fighters Floyd has faced have either already done great things before he got to them and/or did great things after he beat them. Lacy hadn't done all the much before Calzaghe, nor has he done much of anything after. It's a huge difference...

I have seen bits and pieces of the fight on youtube. But my computer has problems and i wouldnt want and dont like to watch whole fights on the computer. I'd rather watch it on televisioon.

                      wtf?
Floyd after his first fight with Castillo
"What are you talking about? I beat this guy easily with one hand"

Hatton after his fight with Collazo was honest to himself and the fans.

                      See the difference?

Ali " He is going down in the 5th"
                      (It happened)

                      Mayweather
"He ain't on my level" He doesn't sell out tickets in 3 hours like I do"

                      See the difference?

Floyd said he was gonna KO Baldomir.
Did it look like to he even tried doing it?
If I would have seen him go out there and give it his all to keep his word then I would have jumped on the bandwagon.Even if he didn't KO him.

I would respect Floyd more if he would say "I'm gonna out there and box, run a little get in n out and get a decision out of this fight. Not the bull he feeds everyone.
