He knocked a kid down in the ams like 4 times, and the kid kept getting up so Tyson wanted to quit. Thats how the story goes.

When you have to resort to biting someones ear or breaking someones arm to get out of a fight then I dont know if you dont have heart, but you have problems somewhere.

If you read the book, you will also notice how bad Moorer was. He was worse than Tyson as far as mental toughness. Atlas constantly had to keep Moorer on track. Its no wonder as soon as Atlas left, Moorer got dominated by Holyfield.

Yes, Moorer was so bad he went undefeated and
won a Belt at 175 . Please, Emanuel (plus Moorer himself, lets not forget that), made him who he was.

also, moorer showed way more desire and heart in his fights with guys like steward and roach than he did with atlas.

When atlas was allegedly "willing moorer to victory" over holyfield having one of his off-nights (one of 234 injuries/ailments), moorer was practically sleep-walking through it. Atlas was begging moorer to fight with more passion and right after atlas gave his corner speeches, moorer would go right out there again and just basically jab and seem like he didn't care.

I think it was Moorer just being careful because of what happened when he got dropped in round 2 when he was being more aggressive.

Considering Moorer was the one in the ring, not Teddy Atlas, with Holyfield, yeah, I see your point and his too.

he bit evanders ear. that was quitting. just ina tough guy fashion. alot like how golota quit against bowe, he didnt wave his hands in the air, but he did enough dirt to get DQd cuz he didnt wanna fight.

Atlas is a Tyson hater! Mike in his day had heart and plenty of it! The man LOVED to fight! And while im at it his stamina was superb too! Just coz a fighter stops trainning as hard (less stamina!) and somewhere along the way lost his passion and fighting spirit duznt mean it was never there! Ive Got his Pro Career set and sum AM fights too have Watched them All Countless times studying them and trust me when it comes to Mike Tyson I know what im talkin about!

Tyson had to fight to pay back the I.R.S. That's hard for motivation when you know you are in the hole so much, that you are fighting for Free.

Tyson himself said he retired in 1990. That's a long time being mentally unfocused to fight.

Holyfield is also known for his headbutts. If Evander was butting, he deserved that ****. A Dog can only take so much before he bites back.

                * My main point is this: As long as we all acknowledge on a ELITE LEVEL, you can question Tyson's heart, but compared to the "average" man, Tyson's heart is bigger. That is if you want to put "Heart" and Competing in Fighting as the test/measurement.

That's the other thing: You still have to "Want" it. You have to have Passion.

You have to be in shape and be prepared in order for your Confidence (which leads to you having "Heart"), to be at Peak level.

                      Ruddock was easy?

                      Are any fights "Easy"?

****, if it was so "Easy", everybody would be doing it and getting paid like Mike, NO?

Even when he got his ass whooped by Douglas, the boy took it until the end. When he was knocked on his back, he got up at 9, despite being in a different world.
