I commend Ricky Hatton for his honesty and I'm anticipating the showdown with Castillo. I know it's going to be a war and a fight we won't soon forget. It's probably Hatton's last chance to solidify his reputation as an action fighter here in the States.

Most people thought his fight with Collazo was boring, and rightfully so, it was. His fight with Urango was great for the first 6 rounds when he showcased his boxing skills, but it slipped afterward. A war with Castillo infront of a big PPV audience could giv ehim the backing he needs to get some other big fights lined up before he retires.

hatton will lose to castillo, but i can't wait to see the fight. castillo won't go to the body for 1 round, he'll pound hatton's body for the whole fight. i'm not a fan of the ****man but i may feel sorry for him after, depending on how bad castillo beats him

I don't believe for one second that Ricky wont be up watching that fight.

Hatton should be trying to get a fight with Cotto, Mayweather, or even Mosley. Castillo isn't the same fighter.

Also, if Hatton doesn't like to watch Mayweather, then I guess he has little respect for "Greats" like WILLIE PEP AND PERNELL WHITAKER

Ray Arcel, one of the greatest trainers of all time, concurs on Leonard’s ability to out-think his opponent’s, (Anderson pp 121, 148-149), “Boxing is brains over brawn. I don’t care how much ability you got, if you can’t think your just another bum in the park. People ask me who’s the greatest boxer I ever saw pound for pound. I hesitate to say, either Benny Leonard or Ray Robinson. But Leonard’s mental energy surpassed anyone else’s.”

For the record, I don't think Hatton has any room to talk about Mayweather being boring. They can both be entertaining at times, but they can also be quite boring at others.

Ricky is the type of kid on the baseball field that wants the pitcher to throw only Fastballs, no Curve-balls, because he can't hit the curve.

Hatton has been in decline since he defeated Tsyzu. Which regardless of outside circumstances, or opinions, was one of the biggest upsets the sport has seen in years. I just don't think he's capable of that level of intensity anymore. That could be why he hugs so damn much.

I still thinks it helps to look good against an aging fighter like Tszyu. At 35 and coming off of a couple serious injuries, needing 2-3 years of recover, which made him rust, is going to be a problem.

Tszyu didn't even look that good against James Leija. Tszyu had been on the decline since turning Rich.

Go back and watch his early fights, then compare.

Kostya blow-out victory over Mitchell was a bit overrated. Mitchell was scared to death to step into the ring, once he got caught, it was over. The fight was over to soon to see what the long layoff would do to the old Champion (Tszyu).

This is one of the reason Hatton wrestled him; to wear the old man down.

Hatton still deserves respect for this fight though. It was a good performance, and he still had to take a few punches from Kostya. However, Kostya's body most likely wasn't healthy to make the weight.
