    Sultan Ibragimov-Calvin Brock Inches Closer

According to the Miami Herald, undefeated Sultan Ibragimov still plans to more forward with his March 10 bout at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Originally, he was set to challenge WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs, who last week withdrew from the contest due to pneumonia. [details]

I'm pleased that the promoters and fighters are salvaging this fight card by finding a credible opponent to replace Shannon Briggs. And kudos to Brock for taking such a tough fight just after his first pro loss. As far as the fight is concerned, I think its pretty evenly matched with maybe a slight edge to Sultan due to the fact that he was able to 'get up from the mat' after being knocked down in his last fight while Calvin Brock was not. Overall, I think this is an interesting fight for hw fans and hopefully an exciting one as well.

hell yeah! I really hope this happens, this would be an intresting match-up, both of them are good fighters, I really hope Brock comes outon top this time, I think he has the ability to win, but like the other poster I would also give Sultin a slight edge, but nontheless, I see Brock taking this fight. come on WBO, make this fight happen!!!

I told you guys about this last week and I hope this happens. Now one other thing I want to know is if the HBO will still show this fight Im pretty sure they will. Respect to Brock for getting himself back in there and fighting after he was bruttaly knocked out and also in the same place where he lost, Im giving Brock a good chance at beating Sultan but we will see it should be a good fight if it goes down...

Big props to Brock for taking this if it goes down. This is an especially risky fight after being knocked the **** out for Brock's psyche. It isn't like Sultan is lacking for power by any means. I would figure Brock would take a more featherfisted opponent next, but I guess not.

Brock is in some exciting fights when he's in with an active come forward guy.

like mccline. that was a very exciting fight.

And IBRAGIMOV is an all exciting fighter.

I think this will be a good action fight. Very entertaining, and made for TV fight.

hopefully i can get down there and see it live. Give my support to Brock

Sultan wasn't dropped by a Klitschko right hand, but by a much weaker puncher instead. That's a difference worth counting.

I just think both the brothers are/were overhyped. I don't see any future belt holder in this fight, should it happen.
